"Oh c'mon! Hurry up!" Grabbing my elbow, Sunny dragged me past all the newly opened boutique shops and headed to God-knows-where.

"Dude what's the hurry? Why're we skipping all the shops? Look that dress's cute... can we check it out please?" I asked, pouting.

"He better keep his promise." Sunny muttered to herself and let out a puff of air, blowing her bangs up in the process.

"What? Who keep what?"

"Nothing." She threw me a quick smile before continuing to pull me in the direction she was originally heading towards.

With the air conditioning on at full blast and Sunny practically walking at lightning fast speed, it wasn't long before I started shivering all over. Clutching my denim jacket closer to me, I struggled to catch up with Sunny.

Smoothie king. My favourite. Sunny finally stopped in front of a group of tables at smoothie king, and I heaved a sigh of relief.

"We... ran just...for... for smoothies??" I panted, bending down to catch my breath.

When I finally caught my breath and looked up, I saw him. That one familiar silhouette I'd recognise anywhere. He turned around, smiling that same heartbreaking smile I've waited for in years.

"How..." I didn't hesitate before running straight into his arms and he enveloped me in a warm hug.

"I thought you said you weren't coming back this year too..." I pulled back from the hug, looking up into his chocolate brown eyes.

"Well I'm here now aren't I?" He said, smoothing back my dark brown locks and crinkling his nose adorably.

"I'm just gonna... skidaddle and leave you lovebirds alone ; my job here's done. You owe me Mark Tuan!" Sunny turned away ,waving goodbye her heels clicking away as she left us alone.

"I'll call you!" I called out after her.

"Why're you so cold?" Mark asked, rubbing both of his hands over mine.

"Speed walking in the shopping mall." I rolled my eyes, cracking a smile.

****

"What do you wanna do after this?" Mark asked drawing circles with his thumb on the side of my hand.

We were sitting across each other, with our hands linked across the table, each sipping on the freshly made blends.

"It's been a while since we've watched movies together..." I pondered, remembering how we'd always watch movies via skype for the past few years. One of us would always end up falling asleep during the movie screening, thus we've never watched a full movie together in years.

"I vote... Action!"

"Horror"

We both said at the same time. I frowned at his cheeky smile. Since young, my fear of horror movies has been sky high. To the extent where I couldn't even watch one without at least shedding a few tears out of fear. Mark didn't know the extent, he just knew I hated them. I huffed in exasperation, he obviously won't go down without a fight.

"How bout this? I race you up to the cinema, winner chooses the movie." Mark suggested.

"Isn't it obvious you'd win? You're a faster runner than I am." I grumbled.

"I'll speed walk like you did just now." Mark winked at me.

"Okay! Promise winner gets to choose the movie?" My mood brightened immediately upon him using a handicap.

"I promise."

"3..2.. Go!" I squealed and raced off to the escalator, glancing back to see him keeping his word and speed walking. Gosh,he still looked like a model while speed walking.
