Mr. White barged into Rebecca's office holding a pile of papers, a CD, and a flash drive. Rebecca looked up from a call she was in the middle of and spoke to the other person, "Um, I'm going to have to call you back later..." As she hung up, Mr. White placed the pile on her desk.

"Boy have I got a news story for you!" Mr. White exclaimed.

Rebecca looked up from the mountain placed on top of her desk, "And what might this be? I really hope this is extremely important." White's facial expression changed from excited to cautious. From among the pile he pulled out the CD...." "This arrived in my mail this morning," he explained while examining the disc for unwanted scratches, "I listened to it on my way over to work this morning and damn it, was this meant to be a front page headline!"

Rebecca stared at this man in awe, he looked like a crazed scientist most of the time. His brown coat and crazy gray hair gave him the 'this man may be a sexual predator' look. His face wrinkled as he smiled and motioned Rebecca to take the disc from him.

"Listen to this and I'll be back in about an hour so we can discuss it." He said as he walked towards the door. "But what abo-" she began to say as the door slammed behind Mr. White.

I guess I'll have to figure this out myself, she thought as she inserted the disk into her desktop computer.

The disk began to play. A male's voice was heard and he sounded as if he'd just ran a marathon.

"Hello Francis White, this is Samuel Duran, top agent at The American Side Discovery Agency. Listen closely. The information I am about to give you shall be vital to finding a cure for a new disease discovered about two months ago. This discovery has also lead us to discover a much more unknown, much darker set of life forms. The ASDA has teamed up with Side Discovery Agencies located around the world to hopefully bring the world to understand that we are no longer a threat to ourselves. Our, threat is in fact something from out of this world."

Rebecca pressed pause on the computer. She didn't fully comprehend what this was all about. She looked over to the pile placed on her desk. She scanned the first page she saw on the top. It read "ASDA First Defense". She stared at it blankly, suddenly someone knocked at the door.

"Come in."

William entered Rebecca's office carrying a computer bag.

"Hey Rebecca, just heard there's a huge crash on Highway 90. Want to get on this story?"

"Ah, we'll let Simon or Grace handle this story. I'm pretty tied up trying to get an appointment with Plateau Inc. to speak with the CEO and expose their corrupt financing. Not to mention this story which White just handed me."

There was a long pause as William examined the pile of paper on top of her desk.

"What is it?" William asked.

"I'm not so sure. White came in a while back and told me to examine it."

"So you're not writing a book?"

Rebecca laughed, "You think I'd have time to write a book?! You're funny."

William smiled and headed toward the door. "Alright, if you'll be needing me you can find me down at the café, enjoying a nice cappuccino and a blueberry muffin." And with that William walk out Rebecca's office.

Rebecca sat still. She couldn't stop thinking about William. There was so many things that made her like him. He was tall, with sandy blond hair, blue eyes, and an irresistibly attractive smile. She felt as if she were nothing compared to him. Why was she so insecure about herself? She knew she was pretty, but she wouldn't believe it. She wasn't like Grace, always using her looks to get what she wanted. Rebecca was humble, so looked out for the benefits of others. She probably wasn't as 'hot' as Grace, but she had some features that made her beautiful. She was tall wearing high heels, she had majestic green eyes, dark curly hair, and a white complexion which made it impossible for her to get a nice tan.
