To The First

Underneath the starry sky, on a swing I stay
Thinking thoughts about the mind-whirling way
You said your love was a star in the galaxy astray
Oh, how I disputably dreaded for that day

You may think that all I did was wait
For a love that was never in state
Ways to keep your bit of love I couldn't create
Maybe it was just time telling me it was too late

You were like a gem in a bed of roses
You are wisdom and lenient laziness
Everything in your mind was a measly mess
Unruly thoughts ruled your head with a fest

We got along like meat and salt with our vexing views
Timeless times our minds wander was never new
Silent seconds we shared were a rare few
Dainty days we made were always filled with hue

But now, you are dark clouds and hazy skies
You gave worthless words and lavish lies
You were like the wind leaving with no goodbyes
And you left me alone with sorrowful sighs

You were the first, I was incapable
Of something we thought we had, still ineffable
At first I thought we were indivisible
But how could that be, when in your eyes I was invisible?

I was laugh, spice and rain
And all you gave me was a laughable pain
And your damage may leave quite the strain
But the lesson you gave me will always remain
