"Arabella, Aslan has requested your presence," Oreius told me after we were done sparring.
"Thank you, Oreius. I'll be sure to make my way there now."
"We train unless Aslan says otherwise."
"Of course."
I sheathed my sword and picked up my daggers from the ground and put them in my boots. I walked to Aslan's tent and was about to knock but heard him tell me to come in.
"Dear Arabella, I have an important job for you. I know you are young but you are already ready to fight. I need you to make sure the sons of Adam and daughters of Eve make it here safely. But there is something you must know Arabella. I have kept something from you that should not have been kept."
"Aslan, I am sure whatever it is, I will not be mad."
"The world where the sons of Adam and daughters of Eve come from... Is your world as well."
"Aslan, are you saying that I am a... A daughter of Eve?"
"Yes my dear child. Forgive a lion for wanting to keep this from you but your parents, were going to give you up while you were you still in the womb. I took you before they could because I could tell there was something special about you. Dear Arabella, I have raised you as if you were my own, I only hope you could find it in your heart to forgive me."
"Of course I forgive you, Aslan. You saved me, but could I ask one question?"
"Of course, Arabella."
"The prophecy of the kings and queens... I always felt there was something missing when it says only two daughters of Eve. Many say its because there is to be a third. Am I the third that everyone supposes exists?"
"You have such an intelligent head on your shoulders, dear one. I have not said the part where the prophecy speaks of a third daughter of Eve. I feel it is you my daughter, for you have a pure heart and it speaks of a girl raised in Narnia but daughter of Eve who will bring peace to Narnia and become queen along side the kings and queens to become their protector and the one who keeps them together. But we must speak more of this when you return. I believe you will find them at Mr. Tumnus' house in two days time." He walked outside and I saw Orieus with my belongings and a beautiful pure white horse saddled and ready for my departure. "Run swift and fast, for the journey will be a long one back, dear one. The Beavers will be there to help but you must guide them as safely as possible. I have no doubt in my heart you won't. Goodbye, Arabella. I will see you upon your return."
I embraced him around the neck and climbed into the saddle with Oreius' help. He draped a coat of white around me.
"May this keep you warm on your travels through the winter wood. Woven from the finest thread that keeps anything from piercing it. Goodbye, my student. Perhaps, when you come back, you will be able to teach me something," Oreius said. I smiled and embraced him. I looked at the two people who were my everything since I was very young and smiled.
"Be safe, Arabella," they said together.
I turned my horse around and clicked my tongue. She shot off like a bullet and I looked back one last time to see my father and master smiling at me. I looked forward and hoped I could make them proud.
