We stopped at night to get some rest and I got to know her and who how she had no family. Much like myself.

"Arabella, what's it like being human?"

"Its hard, I think because we can't run from our problems. We have to face them head on because if we don't, then we can't be as strong as all pf you. We have to prove we are good whereas you don't have to because life is clear cut for you. Good or evil, black or white, happy or sad. I love that I know I can trust you, Lilly. It's better than being with other humans I think because you don't make your words have double meanings."

"You make us sound so nice and... safe. Why?"

"Because you are. You're all my safe haven."

"Thank you, Arabella. We should get some rest, we have a long day of riding but we will get yo the meeting place before Aslan expected us there."

"Goodnight, Lilly."

"Goodnight, Arabella."

----------

We made it to Mr. Tumnus' and saw all the damage that the Witches wolves had done. I saw the note left on the post, read it and almost ripped it off the wall and threw it in the fireplace. I didn't though because I knew the kings and queens would need to see it. Lilly and I camped about 20 to 30 feet away from Tumnus' house. I covered myself and cried into Lilly's stomach because Tumnus was a dear friend of mine.

I woke to sounds of arguing between what sounded like four people. I was far enough away that they wouldn't see me but I could see them perfectly. It was the kings and queens. Although, they don't know that yet. I heard a "psst" and the oldest girl asked, "did that bird just 'psst' us?"

Oh, boy. This was going to be a fun journey. I had seen Beaver already and knew it was him calling them over.

The oldest boy saw Beaver come out and held out his hand to him like he wanted him to sniff it. Oh no.

"Well I ain't gonna smell it if that's what you want," Beaver said. They all jumped back with looks of shock. Except the smallest one, who laughed.

"Um, sorry," the oldest said.

"Lucy Pevensie," Beaver said.

"Y-Yes," Lucy said while Beaver held out a handkerchief. "Hey that's the hankie I gave to Mr.-"

"Tumnus. He got it to me just before they took him," Beaver said to her.

"Is he alright?" she asked.

"Further in," Beaver said while looking around at the trees.

"What are you doing?" the oldest girl said.

"She's right. How do we know we can trust him?" the youngest boy said.

"He said he knows the faun," the oldest boy said.

"He's a beaver. He shouldn't be saying anything."

I walked over with Lilly.

"True. But maybe only in your world," I said, startling them all.

"Who are you?" the oldest boy said.

"Best not to tell you in these parts."

"Everything al- wait, Ar-" Beaver said.

"Shh Beaver. Remember," I said and looked at the trees.

"Yes, yes. No talking here. It's better left for safer quarters," he said.

I followed after him but I heard Lucy say, "they mean the trees."

"Come on people. No need to go freezing out here," I said. They followed, slowly, as I pulled Lilly along.
