Aidens pov ;

After i dropped off skylar and convinced her everything was okay, i drove down the hidden path in the woods until i saw the old burnt house.

I quickly jumped out of the car and ran into the house and quickly stopped when i heard corey and josh having a serious conversation.

I leaned in closely and pressed my ear against the cold wall, so i could here there hushed voices.

"Dammit he is still out there corey.! We are not safe until he is dead! Aidens not safe! Innocent people jog through these woods corey, we cannot afford him to change another innocent civilian.! " i heard josh whisper-yelling at corey.

" josh, there is nothing we can do, he is our alpha, we are all week against him, for gods sake we don't even know what he looks like.! " corey said back hastily.

There was a moment of silence then i heard corey sigh.  

"okay Aiden you can come out now."

Oh fuck.

I hung my head and slowly walked into the room were corey was standing next to josh, with his arms crossed across his broad chest.

" h-he he ummm i was just ya know. . " 

I stuttered while rubbing the back of my neck nervously.

Suddenly i felt a hand slip in mine, and it sent tingles up my arm, and drown my spine, i looked up to see joshes dark brown eyes looking down at me.

" he has a right to know." Josh said to corey. 

Corey nodded "okay this is how it started."

" okay." Josh began, " when i was fourteen, i was changed. . I was the first. A year later i found my mate. . . Her name was Mia." 

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

" i loved her so much, i wanted to leave with her, but if i left this territory i would leave his pack, he would be weak. . So one night, the night i was going to leave. . He.... He. ." 

Corey took a deep breath. " he killed Mia, so i wouldn't leave."

Corey hung his head and continued.

" i found a witch, she did a spell so i would not feel Mia's loss, it would have killed me, a wolf cannot live without its mate, especially if they know they are dead."

I felt josh stiffen by my side, and i shuddered at the thought of losing him.

Corey sighed. " and i found josh when he was sixteen, dying, was torn up by a bear, i couldn't leave him, and Chris. Sam, and Jade were drifters. 

There was a moment of silence. 

" and now you know the whole story." Josh said while kissing my head.

I just sat there wondering, why did the alpha bite me? , and what will he do next.
