"Hello.. hey.... come on wake up...", someone said in a raspy, husky voice.
I groaned and shifted a little and hissed softly. A burst of pain shot through my body coming from my ankle. I arched my back slightly and started to rub my back. I slowly opened my eyes and a pair of sky blue eyes were staring intently at me. I jumped and bumped his head against mine.
"Ow!" he barked out and stumbled away from her, clutching his forehead.
I quickly got up, wrapping my arms around myself. Quickly biting my lip before I groan I look around. What happened? Where am I?
He looked at me and took a step towards me. "You okay? You look kinda freaked.."
I looked at him, and narrowed my eyes slightly. He had messy brown bed head and he seemed a bit taller than me. He was wearing a grey t-shirt that showed off his muscles and black jeans.
I quickly averted my eyes. I was staring at him way too long. I looked back at him and he was awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
Ugh. Of course he saw me.
"Do you need to go to the hospital?" He asked.
I shook my head letting my hair fall in front of my face. "W-what happened?"
"Well I was driving and then I saw you running, so I tried honking the horn but you didn't see me and just ran right in front of my car. Luckily I stopped but when I got out of the car you had fainted."
I blushed a little. "Ahem.. well, thank you.."
He raised an eyebrow and he opened his mouth but quickly shut it.
I turned slowly and started walking away, trying hard not to limp.
Awkward.
Hopefully I won't see him anytime soon.
"Hey! Wait! I didn't get your name.", he shouted.
"Kieran", I said softly. Instead of waiting for him to reply, I turned a corner into the forest, and started walking home.

I was laying in my bed half asleep when I felt something or should I say someone land on top of me with a loud thump.
I moaned loudly and tried to move.
"HEY SISTA.", Derrick scream-screeched in her ear.
"Mo- uff", I started to say before his elbow hit me in the stomach.
He quickly rolled to the side of my bed, "Shit, Kieran. You okay?"
I tossed the covers off my face and clutched my stomach. "You wild, ugly smelly-ass donkey!" I hissed out in pain. "First I hurt my ankle, now my stomach."
Derrick ran a hand in his black hair. He smirked a little. "You little clumsy klutz." He laid back down on my bed putting his hands behind his head and crossing his legs.
I looked at him and sighed no point in arguing. I laid back down beside him. Derrick had black hair with the biggest green eyes I had ever seen. I was insanely jealous of his long, thick black lashes. He was my step-brother and the only person alive, that I love. When my mom had remarried I was scared at first to have a big brother, but Derrick was not only the best brother I could ask for, he was also my best friend. My mom is a journalist, and she was never home. Derricks dad was a camera man and that's how they met. Since their job requires them to always travel, when Derrick turned 18, four years ago he was named my legal guardian.
