It was a beautiful day in Cheshire, England. The sun was shining, it wasn't too hot, the trees rustled gently with every passing breeze. The fresh spring smell lingered in the air as children played in the street among the cottage like houses that lined the streets.
Louis had just turned seventeen when his mother packed up their entire house saying, 'We're moving to Cheshire.' Louis blanched. His slightly hellish life in Doncaster would be over, but he had to leave his friends, pack up his childhood home, only to spend his last year of school in a new town where he knew no one. So yeah, he threw a fit. His mother felt awful for taking her baby away from his home, but this move was to give him a fresh start, away from those awful people that made her baby's school life a living hell.
So there they were, at the start of May, moving into their new cottage in Cheshire, England. Just two hours away from Louis' childhood, but it felt like all the way across the world.
Stepping out of his mothers car, Louis surveys the medium sized house and it's surrounding quiet neighbors. He squinted his eyes in the sunlight and sighed, it was a nice house, and as much as Louis wanted to complain about how he had to leave home, he knew his mother only did this to get him away from the torture.
"What do you think boo?" His mother, Jay, asks softly from beside him.
He looks over the roof of the car to her, "It's quiet." He replies.
She nods and agrees with a soft hum.

Unloading all the boxes from the moving van took the rest of the afternoon even with the help of the moving men. Louis' bed was put up into his room, along with his shelves and dresser.
He walks through the door to his bedroom and looks around. His bed is place directly across from the door and a little to the right, his shelves on the adjacent wall with the dresser directly across from them. The walls were a nice cream colored white, with dark hardwood floors. He would need to get a nice rug.
He goes downstairs and shuffles through countless boxes until he finds one labeled 'Linens' and grabs a set of sheets for his bed. Walking back upstairs and into his room he makes his bed, then goes through his boxes until coming across his deep blue blanket. He places it on his bed before gathering clothes and heading to his ensuite bathroom to get ready for bed.
Walking out of his bathroom Louis drys off his hair with a shake of his towel and sits on the small bench of his window seat. It has a nice view of his back yard and the forest lining it, maybe he'll go exploring.
"Maybe this place isn't so bad." He murmurs to himself. He sighs and heads to bed, falling into a peaceful sleep, unaware of the large green eyes that were staring at him from the forest.

Harry had lived in Cheshire his entire life, born and raised, just like the rest of his family. Harry and his family were a little different than most. Some would even say they were monsters, something that should only belong in fairytales. But Harry never saw it that way, his family would never purposely harm anyone, they didn't do that. His kind hadn't done that for centuries.
His kind, werewolves.
Some of the myths were in fact, fact. However many of the theories on werewolves were complete lies, meant to create the illusion of a terrifying creature for a storytellers story. Werewolves were merely humans that had the ability to become a wolf, though they weren't really human, through the painful process of shapeshifting, but that got better with time. Their senses were heightened, and they were stronger than the average human, but that is all there was. They lived in packs and changed into wolves. They died the same way humans did, however it was a bit harder to kill them, and had no special weaknesses.
Although it was true, werewolves had one true mate. The one person, be it human or were, that they spend their entire life with. They get one shot. When they find their mate, it's quite obvious to the werewolf, the smell of their mate will be whatever comforts them the most, or what appeals to them in the deepest way. By touch, their skin will tingle like a fire set ablaze on their skin, burning in the most pleasurable way.
Harry couldn't wait for the day he met his mate, be it male or female, or human or werewolf. He just couldn't wait. However, Harry wasn't sure what he was going to do if his mate was human. Human's didn't know the existence of werewolves, it was better kept a secret, to keep the peace. He was obviously going to reveal himself, but the question was, how?
Snapping out of his revere Harry found himself in the meadow of the forest lining the town. He found himself here most days just laying in the sun, letting it warm his wolf's fur, but his time, it smelt different. Sweeter, like vanilla and a warm fireplace in the winter. He decided to follow the scent, it leading him out of the meadow and nearer to the small neighborhoods. His paws making muted thumps on the damp forest floor as he carried himself closer and closer to the comforting smell.
He ended up in the backyard of a medium sized cottage and he stopped himself from walking any further, still in his wolf form. He sniffed and lifted his head scanning the house for the alluring scent. His eyes fell upon a second story window, a boy sitting and staring into the late evening.
The boy was beautiful, from what Harry could see, the boy's face was slim and clear with a slight tan, his hair was fluffy, in soft tufts upon his head, his cute nose complemented his thin soft looking lips, Harry couldn't see his eyes, but he knew, he just knew they would be beautiful. Just like the rest of him.
Harry kept to the shadows of the trees as the boy stood from his place by the window and disappeared farther into his room.
And all Harry could think was, 'I've found my mate.'
