Dedicated to ThatElenaGirl for starting me on wattpad. ILY nerd.
POV TESS
I rub my eyes again and my computer screen glares at me, its bright light making my head spin. It's two in the morning and I have to leave for school in five hours, but I've only just finished the main bit of my blog and my subscribers kind of want me to upload almost every two days about how I will never meet true love (which is probs realistic), but its starting to kick into sleep time. I scroll down the screen, scanning the words for any typos or editing errors and stifle a yawn as I do so. My head feels heavy, but I force myself to keep reading for the sake of my subs 'cos they want this uploaded today so I tilt it to the side and think of a way to finish the article as I squint my eyes around, searching for ideas.
"Oh, got it !" I whisper to myself and start typing on the keyboard:
'Anway, to finish up, I think it's starting to become clear that true love certainly doesn't exist for me... unless a miracle happens and I meet the guy I've been looking for- but considering everyone in my school looks and acts like a caveman, there's a very good chance I'm becoming a dog-lady soon....
Anway, dare to dream, guys!
Teen Queen xx'
I nod my head contentedly and scan through the little para I just typed. Perfect. I think I should go to sleep now, so I don't skip ( already boring) double P.E. to catch up on my zzzzzz's- coach is starting to get a little rage now that it's becoming a weekly thing, especially as I'm also starting to bunk soccer training for naps at the nurse's office...As I shut my computer down, I notice a white light outside the bedroom window and my whole body suddenly goes on alert. It's two in the morning, so it doesn't make sense for anyone to be up in my suburbia neighbourhood, but nevertheless, someone is. I screw my eyes up to the window and manage to make out a few figures outside my house. Oh shit. Is this the mafia? Are they coming because I'm going to lie about my maths homework today in school? Who spilled? Was it Elena? Oh... I bet it was Elena... I'm gonna kill her, if the Mafia spare me ... In fact I'll ask me if they can spare me so I can kill her... Yes... excellent plan...
A string of swear words jerk me out of my hyperventilating thoughts and I hide under my duvet, listening intently. A lot of shouting and someone yelling " We'll get you later, punk!"and suddenly, everything is silent and I start to calm down.
Oh thank god. I thought it was the end for me and my blog and I thought I was going to die and I thought that-
Knock.Knock.Knock.
Something knocks on my window and I freeze, my blood turning cold.
"Who is it?!" I call out, my voice shaking. Has the mafia returned?
"Open the window !" A guy's voice calls softly and I stand still.
It doesn't sound like the mafia?!
In any case, the Mafia don't sound like an American teenage guy, so I grab a pen (which could potentially be a stabbing weapon) and open my window a crack to check who it is.
No one's there.
"Hello?" I croon softly and a low reply makes its way to my ears.
"Down here, nerd."
I brush my hair out of the way and bend my face down as my eyes come face to face with one of the most gorgeous human beings ever to grace the halls of my school.
Ross Anderson, the resident bad boy.
Wait, what...? His side hoe's house is two houses away from mine and he could've just gone there. But no , he had to interrupt my (almost) sleep.
