"Shall we go now Aline? It's getting dark, and your Mom probably don't want you late home, right?"
I looked up at the boy. he had beautiful long blonde hair, electric blue eyes, slightly rosy cheeks and a n angelic smile. Still, I returned to staring at the horizon and soon enough, the sun started to set , showing a beautiful contrast of colors in the sky, red, pink and blue. For a while, I held onto his words, but looking at the gorgeous scene, I couldn't help but let my mind drift off.
"Aline? Aline! Earth to Aline! " his warm voice rang in ears and that brought her back from my daze.
I tore my gaze away from the sky and looked up at the boy again. He was already standing up, his tall build towered over me, leaving me covered in darkness.
Darkness.
"Come on Aline, Mrs Morgen would not be happy if really do stay out here any longer."
He reached out to me and grabbed my right arm, attempting to pull me up. Just as I was half way to gain my footing, the boy lost grip on the ground and fell backwards, pulling me along him. With a soft thud, we crashed to the soft ground. The green grass enveloped his lean body and stuck out between his soft blonde hair.
Awkwardly, I tried to pry away from his grip. As I released his hands from the soft grass, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her and pulled her in closer. And there I laid against his broad chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. It was racing, thumping loudly against his chest. But at that moment, we both didn't care. I snuggled deeper into him, enjoying the warmth of his body while I could.
He then buried his head into my messy locks of red hair. He tightened his grip around me, squeezing me tighter, closer to him. To him.
Soon, he tore away from my head. He lifted my chin up to his face and all I could see was tenderness and sorrow in his brilliant blue eyes.
"I'm so sorry," he said, "I'm so sorry I have to leave you,"
Ah, leaving. Fate had me good this time. The memory of my mother telling me he was leaving filled the me with nothing but bottles of sorrow. Making me feel more empty than ever.
I have to break this with him now. If not this longing feeling for his warm embrace, for his reassuring smiles would be left when he leaves, leaving me with nothing but joyful memories of them do nothing but pierce me with the spears of despair, loneliness.
Quickly, I tore away from him, regardless of her burning face. I swiftly stood, causing him to stumble back from the sudden movement. Tears were prickling my eye, but I worked hard at fighting them back, for no tears shall be shed at this final goodbye of ours.
He scratched his head and patted his pants free of the weeds. Pain tore its way through his face as he made his way slowly towards me. He reached out and hugged me from the back, kissing the top of my scalp.
"Aline, I know why you are doing this. I understand. I just want you to remember that I will always have you on my mind. No matter where and when, I will have you in my heart. I want you to remember me..." his voice trailed off as he spun me around, facing him.
And then we kissed. His soft lips crashed into mine, it was an unprofessional one, but its was filled with so much with passion that I could do nothing about the tears. Drip drop, the blotchy tears of mine rolled down my cheek, and she leaned into the kiss, savouring the moment. The beautiful but sad boy trailed a finger down my spine, then rolled his arms around my waist and pulled me deeper, deeper into the kiss.
I gasped between our mouths. But the boy didn't give a second for me to breathe. He immediately locked our lips again, but stopping to smile against mine.
We could have gone on for hours if not for me tearing away.
Me again.
I walked away from him, tears still brimming in my eyes. But just as I was about to leave our usual haunt, the boy called out to me, "I will find you again! And I will make you fall in love with me again!"
I paused and turned to him. The rest of what happened also surprised me myself.
I leaped at him and he caught me just in the nick of time, and this time was me who kissed him. It was a quick one, but also a painful and happy one.
"Idiot," I said, "I will wait for you. But not forever."
I reached out to cup my hand under his cheek, which soon was wrapped by his hand with this reply that gave me nothing but a strand of hope.
"Just you wait, Snow White with red hair,"
He pulled my hand backwards, jerking me towards him.
"I'm gonna make sure that I would find you and make you fall in love with me all over again."
