They went to their dorm room, breathing heavily and eyes wide. "That did not just happen." Leslie stated, sitting on a bean bag. The others followed her, sitting on their own bean bags. "We weren't the only one who had saw and used the book." Penelope stated. "He told his best friend to die." Jamie whispered, playing with the end of her shorts. "He didn't mean to tell him that, Jamie." Janice stated, rubbing her face. "We have to turn back, we can't let some power ruin our friendship. Not like that." Leslie stated next, standing up and practically ripping their beds apart. "What are you doing?" Penelope asked, panicked. The rest stood up as well. "Where's the book?" Leslie whispered. "Oh gosh." Janice whispered, looking at her night stand. The book was already fading. "No. No. Nononono." She whispered, rushing towards it but it was already gone.

"Guys, we just need to relax." Jamie stated, holding her head. "We can control it." Penelope helped, Leslie sat beside Janice on her bed. Penelope and Jamie were standing in front of them. "We may be new to these things but we won't let a story of a grown man ruin our fun." Pen added. "That's his story, we have to make our own story." Jamie stated, smiling at the two. "We're going to enjoy our powerful moments, okay?" Jamie asked, motioning the both of them to stand up. "Okay." Janice whispered, standing up. Leslie looked up at them, with an unsure face. "We'll be fine." Penelope stated, Leslie then gave a small smile and gave in, she stood up as they all held hands. "Let's not get creeped out with his story because that  was a long time ago." Jamie stated again, their hands started glowing with different shades of pink. "What's happening?" Janice asked but that was answered when they felt a burning sensation in their wrist. They screamed but it seemed like that people didn't hear it from the outside. Moments later, everything stopped and they dropped on the ground.

Next Morning

Jamie woke up, hissing when she felt her wrist hurt. "What happened?" She whispered, looking at her wrist. A big LM was on her wrist, just below her palm. "Guys, wake up." She started shaking each and one of her friends. One by one they woke up, having the same reaction as Jamie. They had the same marks on their wrist. "What's this?" Janice asked. "It's the first stage." They all jumped from the voice. Mr. Navarra was at the door, it wasn't open, Leslie knew she locked it before everything happened. "How'd you get here?" Leslie asked, standing up. The ladies followed. "No need to know how. I came here to warn you with the stages." He stated, he looked different, he wasn't wearing his casual clothing. He was wearing formal clothing, suit and tie, white socks and black shoes. "Stages? What stages?" Penelope asked, you can see the worry on her face. "There is five stages. First, you'll have your mark." He showed his own mark, a bird. They all looked at their wrists. "What's LM?" Leslie asked again. "It's up to you what you want it to be." He answered. "The second stage is that you will feel stronger and smarter than you are now."

"The third stage is that  someone will fall in love with you, you don't have to do anything." Jamie gulped, combing her hair back. "Fourth, it's the hardest." He paused. "That's when you'll test if you can really handle the power given to you." Their eyebrows knitted. "How hard can changing a hair be?" Pen asked and Mr. Navarra laughed. "You haven't tested your powers yet, have you?" He asked and they all nodded. "You'll have your time for that," He paused again. "Lastly, it's the most painful thing you'll feel. The power you have will wrap itself around you, going through every veins in your body." Janice rubbed her face. "What stage did you stop?" She asked. "Third." She bit her lip. "You stopped there because you demanded your school crush to be in love with you." Jamie stated. "Correct, but I never lost the powers I had, imagine if I had finished until the last stage. I could've killed a lot of people." He said, walking over the window. "Oh and you're late to class. Better hurry up." He stated and when they turned to look at him, they didn't see him. "Is he our guardian angel or something?" Jamie asked. "Probably." Pen murmured. "Let's go."

FIRST CLASS

"Penelope." Trevor whispered behind her but she didn't turn back. "Hey." Annoyed, she looked back and got surprised to see a chocolate candy  on his palm. "What's that?" She asked. "I want to give it to you." Trevor answered. "It's not poisoned is it?" She asked, taking it. "No. Why?" She stared at him for a second before giving him the same small smile she gave in the Gym. "Thanks." She stated and started writing what the teacher is writing, the candy in front of her. When the class ended, she opened the chocolate candy and ate it, she hummed. It was delicious. "Do you like it?" Penelope jumped. "Oh. I do." She stated and stopped in front of her locker. "I'm sorry about yesterday." He started. "Trevor," She jumped in. "It's okay. We can be friends, I just hope you don't ruin this chance of being friends with me." Trevor was shocked, shocked because she's letting him friends with her and how much confidence she showed. "Oh-OH! Okay. Okay. I won't ruin it." He said, nodding his head. "Thanks Trevor." She stated and left him there. He was smiling so big, almost as big as a building but it vanished when Hazel stood before her.

"What's with her?" She asked, Trevor coughed. "Nothing. Leave it alone." He told her and started walking, Hazel then pulled him. "I am your girlfriend, I should know." Trevor laughed, touching her shoulders. "You're a fling, there's a difference." He stated and her jaw dropped, Trevor laughed and started walking away, Hazel didn't stopped him this time.
