Ayesha's P.O.V

Soon my thoughts were interrupted by my sister Aidah

"Hey,what are you worried about? Is it about that guy coming to see you? Well if it's so then I have a brilliant idea for you! "

Suddenly a smile crept on my face but then I realised it was Aidah who is giving ideas so I should really be up for some stupid stuff which she suggests.

"What?" I exclaimed.

"Its simple just give Sahil's mother a bad impression as in  you know it's Indian logic that the girl must be veteran at household stuffs, she should be good at cooking, she should be very calm minded and well mannered as if they're to be enrolled into the police" Aidah scrunched her eyebrows in disgust.

"So all you have to do is that show Sahil's mumma that you ain't good at either, she'll surely give this so called 'rishta' a thought."

" What an idea Aidah! I love you so much! Now I can indirectly ruin up things!" I started clapping my hands like an overexcited seal. For the first time in my life, I really considered Aidah's thoughts.

But our whole plan was ruined by my mother who was standing quietly listening to us by the door.

Anger was oozing out of her eyes.

"Ya Allah! You girls are so stupid! Ayesha, dare you give this idea of yours a second thought! Now you wait and watch your Abba & me are keen on getting you settled with him and this is our final decision! They'll be here in a couple of hours. I want you to fresh up and be at your best, Aidah you help her!" and with this she left the room leaving me shattered.

"Sorry Ayesha, I just ruined up things more for you" and with this Aidah left.

I was sitting by the window when I heard mumma shouting from downstairs asking whether I was ready or no. I had no option and I went to fresh myself up, I quickly performed wuzu and performed two rakat salah asking Allah for help.

Soon my mom entered with Aidah and helped me dress up. All this while I had a guilt for ruining mine as well as Rayyan's life, All those promises , his dreams, his ambitions were shattered by me. Why is this happening? Why did he come back after these long years giving both of us false hope? As soon as Rayyan hears this he would be completely broken as I was the person he trusted the most. I just hope Rayyan will forgive me and move on. Above all he shouldn't stop trusting people as TRUST is the most basic foundation for any relation and once this foundation is shattered the best of structures are demolished. Rayyan please forgive me and with this I had tears rolling down my cheeks. Mumma noticed me and tried to lighten up the moment by kissing my forehead and exclaiming that how grown up is her daughter that soon she'll be engaged. She too had tears in her eyes though. Our emotional session was soon interrupted by a voice from downstairs that exclaimed, "The boy's family has come!"

"Alhumdulillah!" My mother exclaimed and she went downstairs to welcome the guests.

I fixed my hijab and and tried to wipe off the extra make-up with a wet tissue. Why should I look good for him?

"As salamualaikum" His family greeted. Both Sahil's Abbu and my Abbu were best of buddies during their college time and even used to work together.

"Walaikumassalam" Abbu greeted his father with a short hug.
