her eyebrows squished together,"what do you mean rat us out?" she looked at me then at Hunter,"i mean a group of people will come here,kidnap us,kill us and take our stuff and our home!" the boy quickly got up and ran for it,i aimed the gun for her and let her shoot him in the leg,he went down fast,painful moans got quieter as we rushed back inside the house. Leslie dropped the gun on the floor and looked at her hands,tears went down her cheeks,as if she was shot again,"w-why did you make me do that?" she demanded angrily as she kicked the gun to me,i leaned over and picked it up,i stared at her for a few moments,reading her anger,her body language,she was truly mad at me,"look...i'm sorry sis but i had to." i pleaded with her,she grabbed her backpack that laid in the door way of the front room,"either we go now or i'm staying.' i sigh softly and gave a small nod,"ok just let me change first." she stood there silent for a few moments before speaking,"ok,ten minutes tops.."i quickly head up stairs to my room to change,i put on my long sleeve light blue crop top,i put on a black tank top as my under shirt,i put on my long jeans and my white gloves,i put on my gray boots and headed out. I walked into the front room to see Leslie playing with her fingers,"ready." i said with a smile,she slowly looks up at me and smiles back as she gets up from a box,"good,we head out of the back."i chuckle and make a small smile and raise one of my eyebrows,"since when did you make the calls?" she makes a much bigger smile and winks at me before giving me and small hug,"soon sis,soon." i pet her head,"it's much farther than you think." she sighs and then lets go,"lead the way." she gives a small bow and then headed to the kitchen where the back door was,we headed out,"ok so..Alaska is north of here if i'm right.." Leslie gives me a rather shocked look,"you're not serious are you?" i giggle and pull her close,"of course not,now let's try the towns near by and maybe find some survivors." Leslie didn't reply but she still followed as i headed south west of where we were. After a while i could see a long road with a sign marked,'57',i felt relief hit me,"look Leslie!" i said quickly as i held her hands,she chuckled,"see,hopefully we are near a town by now." she then broke my hold to wipe her forehead,"i know sis it's hot but we'll find shade soon." i wrapped her arm around my neck and we kept moving,it was almost dusk so we moved quickly,hoping to find the town near by.
