**Hey guys this is my first fan fiction ever! So please don't take it easy on me. I truly want to know what you guys think of the first chapter. Thanks and enjoy!**

Sansa was startled out of her relentless sleep. Looking to the windows which were heavily shuttered to keep out the early morning chill, she could sense that the sun had not yet pierced the sky and the Vale was still blanketed in darkness. She looked to the hearth and could see the faintest glow of red. Sansa hopped out of the bed to throw a couple of logs into the fireplace in hopes to rekindle the flames and bring warmth back into her bed chamber. She scampered back to bed before the cold could chill her to the bone. She once use to like the cold. It had reminded her of her home, Winterfell, but now all the chill of the air reminded her of was death. She was only a woman of one and seven, but in such a short life she had lost so many. First, Lady, her direwolf, then her Father, Eddard, followed by the fall of Winterfell with her brothers, Bran and Rickon, then her brother, Robb and Mother, Catelyn, together at the Twins, which people were dubbing the Red Wedding. Sansa's only sister, Arya, had yet to be found. All she could assume was that she had died or been killed. Her bastard brother, Jon Snow, was the only survivor, besides herself, she knew to be living, but he was a man of the Night's Watch and family ceased to exist to those who took the black. So in all reality all she had was the man she owed her life to. The one who had saved her from the monster, Joffery Baratheon, and her little imp of a husband, Tyrion Lannister. Thank the Gods, new and old, for Petyr Baelish. Without him she may have been dead as well. Years had passes since she first had come to the Vale, so much had changed in Westeros and Kings Landing. The mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targareny had reclaimed the throne that was rightfully hers. Sansa didn't mind this, because she had been absolved of what her father had done to aid Robert Baratheon in taking the iron throne. So Sansa and Petyr were tucked away in the Vale, which was impregnable. Daenerys had told Sansa that the death of her family was punishment enough. Sansa had felt the Queen had given her a gift when she had killed all living Lannisters and Baratheons. As Sansa laid in bed pondering over her life in the Vale with Little Finger, if it would just continue to be the two of them or if he would scour the lands in search of a new lady of title to take as his wife. Sansa was overcome by an unfamiliar feeling: jealousy. Did she feel she didn't want to share her protector? Was she scared if he remarried he would ship her off somewhere and she would never see him again? Or was it simply just love? "Of course, I love him! He saved me from a fate much worse then death and shares every memory of my mother before I was brought into this world." She thought to herself. "Or could I really be in love with him?" she said aloud. The heat blazed from the hearth and as Sansa's mind raced in these thoughts, sleep overtook her and for once she had a peaceful, restful sleep. Thoughts of a life with Petyr Baelish had put her mind at ease, her protector, her knight-in-shining-armor.
