Chapter 1: Why Him?!?

Amy's P.O.V.

I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start the day...Today is my 18th Birthday. I am finally old enough to do what I want...sort of. 

"Princess Amelia, are you awake?" My nurse asked through the door. I walked to the door and opened it.

"How many times do I have to ask you, Please, just call me Amy" I said walking away to my nurse/best friend, Cream The Rabbit. 

"Sorry...Amy"

*sighs* She can't do it

"Did I disappoint you?"

"No, anyway, do you know what today is?"

"Oh yes, how could I forget" I smiled "I get to collect my tomatoes today" She said happily.

"Ha ha" I said fake laughing.

"Happy Birthday Princess Amelia"

*Sequels* "Can you believe, I'm 18 years old, I can do whatever I want"

"Well, that your parents approve of" She said looking in my closest for a dress that I can wear today.

"Right, of course"

"Oh Speaking of your parents, they want to see you downstairs" She said pulling out my favorite Pink dress with my red headband and red flats.

"I wonder what for" I said putting it on.

*Shrugges Shoulder* "I don't know, but they seemed very happy about it" She said now doing my hair while I was putting on my shoes. I look one last look in the mirror and I looked beautiful...for a 18 year old. I walked downstairs and I see my parents talking to a tall, buff guy with dark blue hair.

"Oh Amelia, come, come" As told, I walked to my parents and in front of this stranger. "This is Prince Sonic, Son of King Emerald" My mother said.

"Nice to meet you Princess Amelia" He said kissing my hand. I looked at my mother and father with confusion. Why did they want me to meet him. Something isn't right. 

"Um...Nice to meet you to Prince Sonic" I said bowing down then standing up straight again. 

"Amelia, Prince Sonic is going to be your new husband" Mother said.

"What?"

"Yep, and you guys are getting married in 3 days" My father said.

"3-3 Days!?!" I said walking back. "I haven't even been 18 for 1 hour and you guys are already choosing my future!?!"

"Hey, that's no way to talk to us Amelia" Mother said then turned to Sonic "I am so sorry Prince Sonic, she isn't usually like this" Right there I got offended. "Amelia, can I talk to you in private?" She asked walking up to me but I backed away.

"No" I said. Everyone was shocked. You always have to obey the King and Queen, that's the rule, but I'm 18 and I'm tired of them taking over my life.

"What did you just say?"

"I said no mother, I'm 18 now, I'm tired of you taking over my lif-" *Smack*

"That is NO way to talk to me after everything I have done for you!" My mother said. I touched where the pain was...She slapped me. I looked at her with anger and tears. "You live under my house, you follow my rules" I wanted to say something back, but I kept my mouth shut, not wanting to make it worse...but it didn't work.

"I hate you" I mumbled and she looked at me with shock. I ran upstairs to my room before she could do anything. I was crying, my cheek was hurting for a while but it started to less in with my tears cooling it down. I looked and saw my cloak hanging. I went up to it and held it in my hands. I looked in the mirror, my face was red and wet from the tears I shed. I changed into my comfy -not poofy- dress with my black flats. I put my hair down and took of my headband and most of my jewelry except for one, the necklace Cream gave me. I put my cloak on and snuck downstairs and out the door while my mom was paying attention and apologizing to Prince Sonic. I put on my hoodie -so I wouldn't be recognized- and started to walk through the woods. It was night time so it was beautiful just to look up and sees the stars. I sat on my favorite rock and looked up at the stars. Man, it was beautiful. 

"Gotcha!"
