Chapter 4: The Idea

Amy's P.O.V.

I woke up feeling happy but cold. I opened my eyes to see Shadow gone but a note on my mirror. I got up and already started blushing.

'Good Morning Love,

I'm sorry I left you while you were sleeping but I did not want to wake you. If you can, meet me by the rose garden at sundown tonight...

Love: Shadow'

I sighed and danced around with the note, I'm truly in love.

"Amelia?" Cream said opening the door, seeing me dancing.

"Well good morning Lady Cream" I said starting to dance with her.

"Well, your happy this morning"

"Can you tell?" I said smiling at her.

"Well, then this might hurt what I'm going to tell you"

"What's wrong Cream?" I said, not dancing annoying more and the smile disappearing.

"Lady Rose has sent me free"

"What!?! No, this can't be"

"Oh but it is, I came to say good bye"

"No, this can't be" I said sitting down on my bed.

"And worse, you must get married to Prince Sonic tomorrow night"

"What!?!?! Why can't I be happy for one day!?!"

"I'm sorry Amelia, but its the way it is, but, I will be working at the bakery, so you can easily see me there"

"I'm sooo sorry Lady Cream, I got you into so much trouble just for me"

"I am not mad at you Amelia, you will always be like a daughter to me" She said smiling, wiping me tears away, trying to hide her own tears.

"LADY CREAM! AMELIA!" My mother yelled. I wiped my tears away, stood up straight and was ready to approach my mother. I walked downstairs with Cream to see my mother and father standing there at the bottom of the stairs. I walked up to mother, who had anger and disappointment in her eyes. Out of nowhere *SMACK*. I stood up straight trying to hold my tears and pasture. I looked at the floor, blinking away my tears.

"Look at me!" Mother said meanly, but I obeyed and looked at her, getting another slap in the face. "You ungrateful, disobedient brat, I have done so much for you and this is how you repay me!" I stood quiet, keeping my pasture. "*Breaths out* *fixes her dress* You will be marring Prince Sonic......tonight, be at church tonight or never look me in the face again!" She said turning away from me. I looked at father.

"Come on Lady Cream, lets get you to the bakery" He said walking away from me with Cream to the door. I walked up to me room, grabbed my suit case and packed my nightgown, my headbands, a few dresses and zipped it up. I changed into the most comfortable dress I have, black flats with a rose on the side of my hair. I grabbed my necklace, put it on, hid my suitcase and went to the rose garden. While walking, I went to a little house in the middle and walked up to it...waiting for Shadow to meet me here.

"Wow" I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around to see Shadow in a tux with a red bow tie, to match his gorgeous red eyes.

"Wow to you too" I said walking to him.

"Whats wrong, I thought you would be happy"

"It's not you*sighs*"

"What happened to your cheek?"

"Mother" I said. Shadow then kissed my burning cheek from the slaps into a love burning sensation. In other words, I was blushing.

"Does that feel much better?"

"V-very" I said looking in his eyes. I felt like crying, happy and painful tears.

"Let it out, I'm here" He said. Water formed in my eyes and I just hugged him and cried on his chest. I sniffled, wiped my eyes and looked at Shadow.

"Let go"

"But we just got here"

"No, I mean run away, run away from the kingdoms, from this enslavement, finally be free"

"I don't think we can"

"Shadow, there making me marry...tonight" I said, eyes starting to water again. "My mother doesn't care about me, my father won't help me, just run away with me, and we can actually be together"

"Where would be go?"

"Any place but here, we can just follow our hearts, please Shadow, I'm leaving tonight"

"What about my brother?"

"You can invite him" I said grabbing his hands "as long as your with me, I don't care"

"Alright, lets do it" He said. I hugged him smiling, about to kiss him when...

"Well, well, well, cheating on me already Amelia"

"Prince Sonic!"
