I was contemplating whether I should actually do this or not - I betrayed them. I used them, then I left, I told him it was because he didn't need me anymore but in honesty, I had feelings for him which I couldn't seem to face.
Even if they don't forgive me, I still want them to know... I tried to convince myself I don't get scared, I never get scared, I need to do this. It wasn't true though, I was scared, I was worried but I knew I'd regret it more if I didn't.
Gressenheller University, why was this so hard for me to do? I knew exactly what I wanted to say to them.
I went in and went up to his office, I was hoping that's where he would be. I knocked on the door and a young girl answered, she was wearing a peach coloured dress.
"Oh, uh, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm looking for Professor Layton, do you know where I can find him?"
"He should be back soon, he went somewhere with Luke, you can come in." I felt relieved that I was at the right place.
"Thank you." I smiled and walked in.
"Are you one of the Professor's students?" She asked me.
"No, I used to be his assistant, my name is Emmy."
"I'm Flora." She smiled. "I'm sorry, I can't help but notice you seem nervous, is something bothering you?"
"Well... yes, you see, a while ago I kind of betrayed the professor and Luke and, well, I've came to let them know how I'm sorry but I don't expect them to forgive me at all, not after what I did."
Flora blinked and gave me a small sympathetic smile.
"They're forgiving people." She was right, they were every forgiving, I knew I shouldn't be worried but I am. Flora stood up and walked over to the window. "Oh, there they are now." I was starting to feel a bit sick, I can't bail now. Flora stood at the door waiting for them.
"Professor, Luke, you two have a visitor."
"Who is it?" I heard the small familiar voice of Luke.
"I think she's an old friend of yours."
They both came in and I saw the look of shock on their faces when they saw me. I stood up.
"Emmy?"
"It's nice to see you both again."
