≈ Reader's POV ≈

"Hey, come on (y/n)! I know you're stronger than that!" My blue haired friend shouted.

"Oh shut it!" I retort.

Right as I said that, I was met with a sword rushing toward my face. Thinking quickly, I raise my hand and stop the sword, grinning in success.

"You're supposed to use your weapon (y/n)." My raven haired friend finally spoke.

"Yeah but its so boring that way~. I'll only use it if I need to. Besides, I can kick both of your butts without it." I smirk.

"Still not cursing I see-"

"Yup. Unlike you, you potty mouth blueberry!" I laugh.

He in turn growls and charges at me, but gets blocked before he could reach me.

"Don't be such a sore loser and you sound like such a child when you talk like that (y/n)."

"Humph! No one asked for your opinion batty."

They both sigh at the nickname and I roll my eyes. Someone called out to me and I saw a few of my other friends. As the three of us raced toward them, everything turned into darkness but I knew that it wasn't because I was waking up, but rather a change of location.

'That's new. Wait... I've been here before.'

"How much longer is it gonna take you to remember everything?" A voice asked.

I turned around to see such a familiar face, yet unfamiliar as well.

"Ummm, do I know you? I've seen you before but... I'm usually not in control." I say.

'Hey (y/n)! What's going on? And why is he in your inner world?'

'I don't know Keiji. And that's where we are... I could've sworn it was someplace else.'

"You idiot. I told you to give her time."

This time, a raven haired man speaks and he looks really familiar too. Then it clicks, they're the two from my dreams! Just an older version. But, I feel that they're real and Keiji said that we're in my inner world too.

"What is my connection to the two of you?" I finally ask.

They both turn at me with a bit of a pained look. I don't quite understand why though.

"Look, all you need to know is that we're coming back to get you. You don't belong with the humans, let alone the Soul Reapers. Just sit tight and wait, alright (n/n)?" The one with blue hair said.

When he called me that, I could almost see images of him and I as a child but they vanished as soon as they came. All I know was that I trust these two with my life. What I don't know is who they are or why. Either way, I felt safe and happy being able to see them and speak to them. Besides, this is only in my head... right?
