Seven years ago...
It was a bright night in Pyrrhia. The three moons were full. In the outskirts of the rainforest, it was quiet. Moonwatcher and Winter beheld the newly hatched dragonet before them.
Moon looked at her surroundings, pulling her dragonet closer with worry. "What are we going to do?" She asked Winter. "She won't be accepted by either of our tribes, and introducing her to either of them would put all of our lives in danger."
Winter paused in deep thought, then answered "My tribe does not know I am alive, so we have a better chance being accepted with your tribe. Plus, Glory will defend us if anyone causes us any trouble. After all, she is our friend. Didn't her and Deathbringer have a dragonet due to hatch tonight as well?"
Moon thought in consideration. "Yes, I suppose you are right. Where else do we have to go anyway? We've been dodging the Icewings for years, and I am tired of running. I want to see my mother anyway. It's been a long time since the last time we've seen each other. It's time to go home, and have a place to call our own. We'll set out for the Rainforest Kingdom in the morning. The Rainwing/Nightwing village is just a couple of miles East. Until then, we need to get some sleep."
"Wait!" Winter said, "We still haven't named our little dragonet."
"What do you suppose we name her" Moon replied.
Winter paused "I was thinking Arctic... Night. Yes Arcticnight."
Moon laughed "Arcticnight? You're wanting to name her after your long lost prince?"
Winter replied on the defensive side "It's a universal name, and this way she gets a half Icewing culture and half Nightwing culture name. It suits her."
Moon smiled "I love it. Arcticnight." She curled up around her dragonet to keep it warm "Now go to sleep."

It was mid-day by the time Winter, Moon, and Arctic made it to the rainforest kingdom. They were tired from the long trip, but were welcomed by Glory, Deathbringer, and Kinkajou. When Kinkajou spotted Moon and Winter, she ran to them and gave them a big hug.
"I'm so happy to see you both!" Kinkajou said.
Glory walked up behind them "Well well well, look who it is. Where have you two been? I thought you two were dead. You couldn't have sent a post card or something?" Glory paused, seeing the dragonet for the first time. "Aww! Who is this? Is it yours? It's so cute. I have one just like it. Well not just like it, but you know what I mean."
"Her name is Arctic. We are sorry for the worry we put you through Glory, but we had to go on our own for a while because the Nightwings were always picking a fight with Winter, but when Arctic came along, we realized we needed to come home." Moon said.
Glory replied "And I am glad you did. We've all missed you. You should have told me about the issue with the Nightwings, I would have straightened them out.""Yeah" Deathbringer chimed in, "and as long as you are here, you can be sure that we will protect your family."
"Thank you" Winter said.
Glory nodded "Well, Welcome home. Now let's get you settled back in. I want to introduce you all to my daughter. Her name is Raindrop. I'm sure that her and Arctic will become great friends."

Ok you guys, so the next chapter picks up with my point of view, but I had to tell you the origin of the story first, so that is why I wrote the prologue. The next chapter picks up seven years after the prologue time slot, and I hope you all enjoy it!
