Chapter 7 plans
Maddie's POV
I unlock my phone.
"hey you wanna go out?" his text reads. I look at it. eww I think to myself. wait. Mackenzie likes Lucas. that's how I can get back at her!! my fingers race to text back.
"um ok."
"really? sweet!"
"uh yeah.. you can come over tomorrow after school."
"ok!! She you then. Babe."
gross. I think to myself.
"yeah. bye."
I turn off my phone.
*time skip to after school*
I eye Mack as we are walking out of school Lucas pinning to my arm she doesn't see me. I walk to the car. Lucas sits shotgun. she opens the door to the front. her eyes open wide when she notices Lucas sitting in her usual spot.
"oh Kenz. um Lucas is coming over today you have to sit in the back." she gives me a look like she is going to jump over Lucas and gouge my eyes out. she steps back still making eye contact then takes her seat in the back. I watch about to burst out with laughter. we go the whole car ride without starting conversation. then we get back to our house. Mackenzie walks into the kitchen to get a snack but still watching to see if I make any false moves.
"so babe. what are we gonna do?" Lucas asks. Mackenzie drops her food.
"everything ok?" I ask smirking. she picks up her food.
"oh idk we can watch a movie." I suggest sitting down on the couch. he agrees.
"Hey Mack wanna watch a movie with us?" I ask maliciously.
"um." She starts.
"come on we can watch something you'll like." Lucas tries to make things less awkward for the two of them.
she sits down. I put on Planet of the Apes. I snuggle real deep into Lucas's chest. just to get on Mack's nerves. she doesn't seem faced. I grab his arm and put it around my neck. nothing. I then proceed to the final stage I lock his lips on mine and kiss him for a few seconds. she finally looks. she starts to get mad then almost cries but in the end she just gets up and walks away. no dramatic exit no running upstairs crying. she goes into the kitchen. puts away the boxes she took out then walked upstairs.
"I have hw." she said heading up stairs. one foot at a time slowly but not to slow. Lucas pulls me in for another kiss
I push him away.
"wth?" he asks.
"Nothing I'm just done kissing rn."
I turn my head about to gag in my mouth when.
"I better go." he starts
"well it's been fun have a nice day." I spring up and open the door. he scurries out. what am I going to do to get in that little brats head?! I sit and think.
things start running through my head. then Page walks in the door.
"Hey sorry Mackenzie invited me--"
"she's upstairs" I snap. I can't be bothered rn. I watch Paige walk up the stairs.
