One Night.

*Who are you?*

Still in a dream, I woke up or at least I thought I had. I felt a guy rubbing my back, soothing me, my clothes were off, my back exposed. I moved over from the edge of the bed and kissed him. I couldn’t see his face but I knew who it was. I walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror as I turned on the lights. When I saw myself in the mirror I jumped a little. When I had gone to sleep my hair was a dark chocolate brown. Now my hair was long and curly, the color bleach blonde. When I opened the door to go back to him in my bed; the door had skipped my room and opened onto the balcony, what was going on? I walked to the edge of the balcony, I felt him. He wrapped his arms around me. I felt one of his hand go down to my thigh, the other found its way into my hair, my spaghetti strap nighty went to mid thigh, it was a dark maroon color. His cold, smooth hand moved my nighty up, he dragged it until he hit my silky lingerie. He kept going until he hit my stomach. My eyes clenched tight. Our breathing hitched. He moved my head to face him and kissed me deeply.  When I opened my eyes he turned into a puff of black smoke. It swirled in the air. A gasp escaped me, I hadn’t expected it. I looked around me, trying to see where he had gone. A scream echoed through the night. I ran towards where I had heard it. I flung the door open to see a girl melt into the mirror. He vanished again. I moved over to the mirror.  Black smoke materialized in front of me. I moved back a little. He smirked. I shrieked as I was slammed into the wall, his hands on me. He moved the top of the nighty I was wearing; he made a trail of forced kisses along my neck.  I tried pushing him off, I yelled stop. He backed up and looked at me. Sadness crossed through his eyes like lightening. It was there and gone as quick as it had come. His expression unreadable. He vanished in a swirl of black smoke. I placed my hand on my neck in the places his kisses had dotted. It burned like a fire. I flinched and took my hand away.

A rustling of the drapes woke me. I took a moment to collect where I was. My back bare, my stomach and below tangled in the sheets. My breathing evened out. I shifted and looked around me; the air was cold, the night well into morning.

A warm hand on my back made me tense, my muscles tightened. The hand moved along my back. A groggy voice spoke out. “Love, are you ok? Do you need something?” His concern touched me. I shook my head and lay back down.

His arms wrapped around my waist, my back on his bare chest. He smelled of soap. I leaned up, my fingers laced into his dark hair. I could see his brown eyes by the light of the sunrise. I leaned in as he leaned towards me. Our lips locked and it was bliss.

I didn’t have to think, or worry. I just let this moment wash over me. The kiss ended, our breathing quickly going back to normal. I lay there in his arms. Thinking of a time when it wasn’t like this.

I dropped my bags on the crunchy gravel and paid the cabbie. “Are you sure you want to get out here miss?” the tanned cabdriver hesitantly asked while looking up at me and then towards the castle.

He had dropped me off twenty miles from Idyll , Belarus. Idyll is a small town in a tiny country in the middle of Eastern Europe. The town was literally inside the forest.  It contained a church, a stretch of shops, the town nestled around the shops with a fountain in the center of the city. Laid out in a hexagonal way.

The airport was two hours away. I had run away from my home three days ago. “Miss?” the cabbie startled me. Richard had a concerned look upon his face. “Are you sure you want me to drop you off here?” I nodded and smiled “yes thank you.” He nodded and smiled, accepted the money and backed out and down the long winding dirt road.

I looked up at the castle. I believe the townspeople called it Mir Castle. It was a square planned building with towers at the corners and a single lone tower in the middle above the building as a lookout point.
