[A/N: I started writing this at about 3AM, and I'm beginning to see what a mistake that was. And rereading the last chapter was pure torture. Sorry for the lack of quality, I'll try and fix what I can.. Oh, and sorry this chapter is so short, ew ew.]
Harley sighed, watching as Link's tiny body flew to the ground. "I don't understand why I have to be a little kid? Why can't I be Ganondorf?" She grumbled.
"I don't think that's how the game works." I replied, though I couldn't hold back a bit of laughter.
"It's not funny. I don't get why there can't be one game where I can be the bad guy." She said, tensing slightly as a monster leaped towards the little green-clad man. From the looks of it, Harley had to put up with being the bad guy all the time. It had to suck, being the level-headed one against all of Karli's whims.
"Hey, Harley?" Karli called out, as if she somehow knew somebody was thinking about her. "Wasn't there supposed to be two more?" She asked, pulling herself away from the fish tank to look back at her friend.
"They're not coming until tomorrow. We should start the meeting soon, though." Harley corrected, and Karli nodded, beaming.
The screen flicked black (she didn't even bother saving), and Harley stood, leaving me sitting on the ground alone in front of a blank TV. The girls instantly moved towards each other, as if it were second nature, and reached for the other's hand.
"Alright, guys, time to start the meeting!" The said simultaneously, Karli seemed to put a bit more feeling into it though.
"Everybody get moving-" Karli started, the sentence complete when Harley chimed in, "the meeting takes place on the couch, for now."
Alec moved slowly away from the fish tank while I pushed myself off the floor. We both sat down on the couch very very hesitantly, as if this was about to be a life changing moment. Maybe the way Karli was nearly jumping up and down made it seem that way.
They sat across from us on the coffee table, silent for a moment. Maybe trying to emphasize the excitment of the moment? Doubtful. "For the official first meeting, we will properly introduce ourselves, okay?" They decided, nodding.
"I'm Karli and I really like when somebody makes me hot cocoa with the perfect amount of cocoa." She started, smiling.
"I'm Harley and I brush my hair a lot." Harley continued, playing with the tips of her hair. I could see why she needed to brush it often, it was way long.
They both turned in my direction, and a fidgeted slightly, thinking. "Um, I'm Aaron and I have a weird nose." Karli laughed, as if this was some new discovery.
I looked over to Alec, who was doing a magnificent job of avoiding looking at the rest of us. "I'm, um, Alec... I like fish." Karli clapped her hands together.
"Okay, now to discuss the actual issues at hand." The girls said, trying to look somewhat serious.
"First thing's first-" Began Harley.
"Is the schedule!" Karli concluded. "Seeing as Aaron has work Monday through Thursday, and Alec is working Thursday through Sunday, it makes it quite hard to plan future meetings." I was really curious as to how she knew what days we were working.
"Um, excuse me, how do you know when I'm at work?"
Harley just smirked, "We have our sources."
