Sometimes life can be hard. It takes you to terrible parts but then also takes you to bliss. This is my story. Its how i went from bad to worse and then good to amazing. My names Natalie Mclarsen I'm 15 years old . Ive spent most of my life on the streets having to spend most nights starving or sleeping on the cold floor. Now u must be wondering why? well , when i was 7 my parents died and i was put into foster care. It was probably the worst thing ever i loved my parents and missed them dearly and the thought of them gone broke me . Foster care consisted of 20 other kids like me crammed into one cell , beaten and starved .

every day i would get beaten up for the silliest things .the head Mrs.George would make us all clean and sweep the house clean and if not done write ...well lets just say u would be unconscious for long. and as for friends i Had one friend.his name was Matte was like the best thing the ever happened to me always stood up for me and took the blame for me. we were inseparable. one day we couldn't really take it anymore with our stupid foster care and thought we were better off in the streets then be beaten and bruised and as an 8 year old at that time i didn't know the reality of it. i didn't know the streets were just as bad , just as vicious and unkind.....

holding Matt's hand i ran and ran . feeling my legs get weaker by the second . but i didn't care .it was gonna be better now i thought . Matt and i will make it through. just a little more running and were free. Matt looked at me as we both ran and said" finally were out of that hell"! "its gonna be better now",  his voice had a sense of doubt dripping from it as he spoke.honestly i think he was always the smarter and stronger one . that's why i felts so safe around him , that's why i chose him as a best friend and that's why we ran away together. slowly letting my legs stop i took in my surroundings. i didn't know where i was but it was a forest since the foster care i lived in was in the middle of nowhere so if that lady came looking for me she had a lot coming. squeezing Matt's hand nervously, i asked "what now huh"?.

" well" Matt answered " now we i search for a good place for us to stay over night so we can find our way back to the city in the morning i let a week smile as i nodded following him still with a firm grip on his hand out of  fear of loosing him

walking through the forest i tripped numerous of time....well obviously being the clumsy person i am i even dragged Matt down with me . but we just laughed it out yet obvious of our situation . i guess we we were just glad we came out of that place

looking ahead i saw a faint light "Matt look" i exclaimed

wait he said " there might be people there maybe they can help us out "

i agreed kinda forgetting that just because we  were out of that foster home doesn't mean suddenly people are all nice

walking towards the light Matt's let out a slight loud noise saying " hey, is anyone there "?

soon we heard the shuffling of footsteps and a gruff voice replying with "oh look what we have her"

"too little kids all by themselves in a forest" don't u know u could get attached or killed little ones "

gasping i went closer to Matt

we heard more footsteps but couldn't relay where the sound was coming from or who this person was! t

the reality finally set in on both of us

Matt looked at me and and whispered "when i say go we both run" is that clear"

gulping a nodded

"who are u? " asked Matt

where are u ?he asked once again

I'm right her little ones this time we both heard it from right behind us as Matt let out a sudden go

taking into sprint once again as i felt the Adrenalin pump through my veins

taking short look at the back i say a tall figure of a man ....with something that looked like a stick in his hand

gasping i held  Matt's hand and ran even faster into the forest suddenly it got darker as we entered in to utter darkness with nothing but the outlines of trees

running a little slower Matt said"i think we've lost him"
