Many years ago, long before humans, there was a war. A series of battles about power, blood, and greed. Who fought in this war? Why, the Gods, of course. No they weren't of the Greek, Egyptian, or Chinese kind. These Gods were older, darker, forgotten.

In the aftermath of the final, devastating battle, a boy stood upon a hill. He took in his charred surroundings, as if hoping that it was simply his imagination. As if by staring long enough, everything would go back to normal. The boy finally took a breath, dropped his bloody sword, and fell to his knees. He didn't feel the loss or pain quite yet. All he felt was the exhaustion adrenaline had been rejecting for days.

He wanted to sleep and never wake up again. He cast his gaze up, searching. He had so many questions, but no one to ask. He opened his mouth, but his throat felt to raw to even attempt to voice his thoughts.

So the boy simply closed his eyes, and waited for answers.
