It kills me more to know that he's in pain than the things he's put me through. All of my friends will ask,"Why do you still give a shit?! He did you wrong! Why would you still have feelings for him?!" And my response is that I know who he is. You know that scene from the movie Beyond the Lights where the officer says to her,"I see you." He means he sees her for who she is, and not for what everyone portrays her to be. I see him for who he truly is. He's like me way back in the past. Those days I began to believe everything that everyone said about me because that was all I heard. I became the person everyone said I was. I ate my feelings and slashed my wrists to feel the pain more. To feel the pain unleash itself from me. Ultimately, in the end,you feel like you're alone. That the entire world is against you. But then you meet someone. Someone worth the fight. Someone who you truly understand and who gets you too. At some point, we have to come to the conclusion that we are not alone in our battles. That there is that one person who will fight along side us because they care. Because they love us for who we are and not who we pretend to be.
