Chapter 6 - One Survivor

"Well, that's my meal for tonight" I chuckle, the forest had changed me. I didn't rely on anyone anymore. I had more courage, I could kill without shedding a tear and I could wink at my enemies as I drew a knife through their throat.

My imagination knew no bounds anymore, the forest didn't have a clock. I only knew I had 6 hours left.

The cannon came more frequently, forcing us closer and closer. My bed had not provided shelter for long, a cold wind had blown through and surrounded me until I gave up and walked out.

When the cannon sounded again my ears perked up, hoping for a death announcement. Wondering who it was I climbed a tree and listened. "The final three competitors please come towards the death ring. In a deadly twist, only one of you will go home alive. Can't wait to see you!" The evil sickly voice spits the words out, enjoying the torture. I hum to myself as I walk, knowing what I have to do.
