Grade 10,Chris' POV
Saturday Morning, i was planning on having a little bonding with Joy... i haven't confessed her my feelings and planning to confess it to her when we reached College or maybe... Grade 12?
I left and called Mitch
"Hey Chris? Aren't you gonna go at the band practice?"he asked from the other line
"Sorry bro... not now. I have to go somewhere important."I chuckled
"Important?... is it your special someone?"he asked. And i could guess? He's laughing
"Ugh Mitch.. just.. im not going.."
"Haha.. fine.. anyway... good luck! And bye!" Mitch hunged up
As i was walking on the sidewalks. I saw Todd AND Joy talking to each other
I stepped a little closer to them.. but not letting them noticed me
"I have something to tell you"Todd started"i...."
Joy look at Todd's eyes. She seems confused and all... what is Todd saying?
I didn't get to hear the rest because of the noise the Cars make.. but this time. I heard it, Clearly.. did he just said he likes Joy?
I frowned. Now what? How many guys have confessed their feelings? How many? If i didn't confess this earlier, someone will kicked me out and make my chances down to zero. I can't do it! Im not--
"Hey Chris!"Joy smiled at me
"Ahh.. Joy.. hey.. i heard,Todd.... uhmm"i scratched my head in embarrassment and guilt
"Confessed that he likes me?... why? Do you wanna confess something?"
My eyes widened"No! None! Haha.. none.. it just.. if ever.."
"i know, you're my best friend after all"She chuckled
Doesn't she likes me? Do she only love me as her best friend?
"And Chris. dont give up"she smiled and walked away
"Joy! Can you and Todd.. Eat with.. me later?" Why did i add TODD?!?!
"Huh? Where?"she asked
"A... at.. Uhh.. ice cream.."
"DQ?.."
I Looked at her,smiled and nodded"Yah! There.. ehhh.. later.."
She smiled"okay! Im gonna call him.. see you later!"She then left
"Yes!. And no!!.. why is Todd there?!" I shouted
While walking back home, i always get disturbed about Todd joining me and Joy. It was my fault after all. If i didn't got nervous then i wouldn't shout out his name like that! And i am not even aware!!
I kicked the door open and glared at every single thing i would see. I opened the door to my room and shut it close
"Chris? why are you in a bad mood?" Gizmo asked
"Because of you. Can you please be quiet? You'll make my day even worse"
Gizmo's eyes widened and stayed silent
"I accidentally joined Todd at our bonding!!"
"What bonding?"
"Shh!!... me and Joy should be the only one.. but because of this stupid nervousness.. there... i told her to JOIN Todd!!" I throw the pillow at the door and made a crashing sound. It seems like something's in there
"huh?" I slowly walked near it and look inside it.. i saw a keychain. I looked at it and It says
"Chris,Joy and Gizmo♥Friends forever" the message makes me wanna bring back the past, the memories.. the old ones..
The door suddenly opens. Ugh!! My nose! It hurts!! "MOM!!" I shouted while rubbing my nose to relieve the pain
"oops! Sorry Chris. But, i heard you and Joy will leave and eat something later?"
I nodded and frowned"yeah, and now my nose looks weird because of you"
"No it doesn't!!!"Mom laughs
"Yes it does!!" I frowned.. then suddenly, a familiar voice called. Joy, she's here..
"hey Chris.. your date.. i mean your friend and frenemy is here"
why so early?
"Huh? Joy? This early?"My voice slowly fades as i saw Todd behind her
"Yeah.. uh.. i'll be busy later so here i am, can we go?"She smiled at Me
"Uh.. sure.."I looked down and followed behind Todd
"I know you like her too"Todd Whispered to me"but, sorry... i'll do my best"
I feel so helpless.. no.. i gave up.. yes i do.. but.. Do Joy have someone she loves?
As we arrived, We all eat what it was and as we finished it, we stayed on the table and an awkward silence was surrounding us. Until Joy break the silence
"So.. guys.. what now?"She faked a smile. But still..
"Uhmmm.. i'll just go home"i said without looking at her. my eyes becomes a little wet.. im gonna start to cry
"Chris, why? You're the one who planned this.."Joy seems upset
"Let him be. maybe he have something to do"Todd smirked
Im no match for him... but...
"No Chris... stay here"i stopped from walking. And wiped my eyes
I turned to her"his perfect for you"
Joy got confused but I ran away even if she keeps calling me.
