Chapter 1
Amanda's POV
" First day of summer vacation!" I shouted as I woke up to hearing my alarm waking me up for work. I can believe I don't have to go to school for the rest of the summer. I went back to laying down daydreaming of who knows what, I looked at my clock...shit... I mumbled realizing I am late for work. I grabbed my towels and headed to the bathroom, after shutting and locking the door I turned on the shower...
After i got out I went to my closet to choose an outfit. After 10 minuets of trying to decide I finally chose! Deciding to wear a neon pink flowy tank-top, some white shorts and neon Pink sandals. I walked back to my bathroom and blow-dried my hair, deciding to be a little fancy today i decided to straighten my long wavy brown hair. I only added light makeup like mascara, blush, and pink lip gloss.
Grabbing my car keys, and heading down the stairs I heard a loud THUMP.
"Were do you think you are going!?!?" My angry drunken father screamed to me as he was walking in the room I was in. "I-I-I'm going to work, I-I'm a-already late." I said sounding a bit scared "Well off you go you little ass, I don't want to see your face anymore'" he said as he came up and slapped my face
I ran to my car and drove of crying, and sobbing. When I arrived at my work, I work at the mall in Forever 21, I looked at my face in my mirror and I looked like a hideous beast, uglier then I already did look.:( i cleaned up my face so that it looked like i hadn't been crying and so that it looked decent...sort of.

Soraya's POV
"You are just 69 seconds later than me!! Haha!! :D",I said trying to cheer her up as She walked in to Forever 21 "Really!? What a coincidence.! We are always late or on time at almost the same time!!", She screamed happily as I walked and gave her a hug...........

I forgot to mention Soraya, she is Amanda's friend that works with her! Her and Soraya have the same family issues, with her father and mother, Soraya knows about what Amanda's dad does to her, shes there almost all the time when Amanda needs someone to talk to both Natally and Soraya are.
