"Mark?"

"Yeah Jack?"

I thought about what I was going to say. I decided to differ from my original plan because my original plan would probably scare him. It scared me.

"How do you like your coffee?"

"Jack, I can make my own coffee. and, I know you well enough to know that wasn't what you were gonna ask."

I pulled out two coffee mugs from the cupboard. I felt his stare on my back. I put a sugar in my cup as the coffee finished being made. 

"Jack? Come on, you can ask me anything. Don't make me tickle the answer out of you."

"No. No tickling! I just- you've been here for a day and a half and you didn't say why."

He thought for a moment.

"I just missed you Jack, I haven't seen you since Pax East. I see Bob and Wade all the time and I hardly ever see you so I thought I'd come see you."

"Oh. Well you could have told me. I mean don't get me wrong. The suprise is great but I should probably get some more food."

"You gonna get cake and cookies?"

I smiled.

"Definitely!"
