When Carson woke up, her phone was ringing. She saw  it was her brother and realized she forgot to call him last night.

"Hello," she said timidly.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!" he shouted through the phone.

"Sorry Ty, I meant to call but I fell asleep early. I'm up at the Vacation house." Carson stated hoping her brother wouldn't scream again.

He seamed to calm down a little bit, "Okay, just come home soon?"

"Sure, I'll be home in a couple hours. Love you, Bye." Carson hung up.

Phew! Thank God he was in a good mood. Carson had seen Tyler mad and it was not a pretty sight. Staring back at her phone, she realized she never responded to her best friend. She quickly sent a text that they both understood.

SOS Lake House.

Half an hour later Ashlee burst through the cabin door and spotted Carson and the couch just finishing breakfast.

"Awe girl come here." Ashlee sat on the couch next to her and took Carson into her arms,"It's gonna be okay."

Carson burst into tears, "I'm gonna be the laughing stock of the school"

"No you won't baby! Everything will work out I promise."

Carson cried harder, " He's gonna hate me forever."

Just then Carson's phone lit up. Ashlee snuck a peak.

"Ohhh, it's that cute boy from English class, Shane," Ashlee's face was all cheery.

Carson didn't want to look, "What did he say?"

"He said saw what happened....." Ashlee's voice trailed off.

"What? What did he say?" Carson stole the phone from her bestfriend's hand, "Saw what happened in class, wondering if you wanted to do that to me behind th dumpster Monday, Ugg!"

Ashlee tried to comfort her friend, "Honey it's just one boy, It'll all blow over."

Carson couldn't stop crying. She finally got off the couch and put away her plate.

"I gotta get home soon. Ty's gonna be looking for me and he probably wants me home before he goes out with Destiny." She walked over to the couch and gave her friend a hug," but thanks for coming for me."

Ashlee smiled, "You know you would do the same for me."

Once Ashlee left, Carson went back into her parents room and picked up the picture frame that laid  on the bed. She kissed the frame then set if back on the shelf next to the picture of her whole family; a mom, dad, and 3 kids, all happy and smiling leaving Colorado on that fateful day.
