I left the school in a hurry.  I hopped on my bike and rode, I rode through the streets and passed the last few houses on the block.  When I saw... A moving truck, right next to my house. I rode really fast to my front door to see what was going on.  I ran up and unlocked my door.  I heard voices coming from the kitchen.  One that of my mother, and another woman.  I entered the kitchen.
"Hey, mom," I said,
"Hey sweetie, this is Ms.Hammonds, she and her family are moving next door her son is your age, and he goes to your school," she stated "and Amy, this is my daughter Olivia." She said enthusiastically.
I grinned, "hello, Ms.Hammonds it's very nice to meet you,"
"Aww very polite," she smiled a heartfelt smile.  She was extremely familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
"The Hammonds are coming over for dinner," my mom stated.
"Actually, my husband and I were divorced three years ago, and I only have one child; he has his fathers last name."  She said shaking her head.
"But he is usually with me because his father is alway away on business." She smiled a sad smile.
"Oh, well I am very sorry," my mother sympathized.
"It's okay," she said quickly, "well I better go unload the rest of the truck and I'll be back around 7:30 you said?"
She changed the subject.
"Yes," my mother replied.
"Thanks again," she called shutting the door behind her.

"Go get cleaned up," my mom demanded.
"Okay," I said running up the stairs.
I ran into my room grabbing a cute pink sweater, and o threw on a pair of black leggings, and some ninja turtle socks.  I went into the bathroom and fixed up my hair and makeup.  I wanted to impress this new guy.  I stayed in the bathroom perfecting my makeup until I heard the doorbell ring.
Was I honestly in there for four hours?
Oh well. I ran to the door,
"Hello, Ms.Hammond," I greeted happily.
"Hello Olivia," she greeted," he'll be here in a sec." She stated looking out the window.  Here I can take all your stuff I offered.  She handed me her jacket and her purse which I took and hung up in the guest closet.  When I got back three lazy knocks were placed on the door.  I opened the door to see a familiar set of green eyes and disheveled head of brown hair.  His fingers ran through his hair and he lifted his head to look up at me, "may I come in?" He asked politely, which took me completely by surprise.  "He stepped in my house and took in the atmosphere. While he was doing that I used the time to examine him.  He wore a light pink button down shirt, which by the way was attractively unbuttoned, and a pair of khaki shorts and socks with sandals. He looked at me seemingly doing the same thing. He looked me up and down causing me to blush.
"Cameron," his mom interrupted,"this is Olivia," she introduced.
"I know who she is," he stated, "she is my lab partner.
"Oh is this the girl that you..." He shot her a glare and she stopped.
I wonder what she meant by that.
I showed them to the kitchen, Ms.Hammond walking in front of me, and Cameron walking behind me. As we walked, I felt Cameron extremely close to my ear, "I can see into your room from my bedroom window," I could almost hear the smirk in his voice. I stiffened. "Better invest in some curtains I whispered back," he looked at me and smirked, "don't," he said smirking that goddamn smirk.
The window across from mine is literally three feet away. That is too close for comfort. I really need curtains. I thought as we sat down at the table. Seated in front of me my mother, beside her was Ms.Hammond, and next to me Cameron. Cameron freaking Holt. He looked at his mother like she was the most important thing in the world, that made butterflies erupt in my stomach. A boy who loves his mother more than anything is the most attractive thing ever. She said something and everyone starts laughing. I watched him as he threw his head back pounding his fist on the table. This is the first time I have ever seen him genuinely happy, when not tormenting me. I ran my hands through my hair and tried to distract myself.
"So what made you guys move here?" I asked.
"Well we've heard some good things about this neighborhood and we heard that there were other North High students here too." His mother responded.
"Yeah," Cameron laughed, "other students,"

"Thank you for dinner, Mrs.Martin," Cameron said politely.
"You're welcome, Cameron," she said, "you are welcome anytime," she stated.
I saw him smirk out of the corner of my eye.  "Thanks again," he said walking out the door, "oh and Olivia, cya tonight," he winked. And he was gone.
