I walk into the recruiting station for the Marin Corps. Asking questions about joining.
"So if I join I can go into infantry and be a sniper?"
"Well you'll be a basic rifle man first. Then you am apply for sniper school and your squad will vote to send you or not."
"Ok. I'll sign up."
"Alright let start the paper work."
20 mins later I walk out with the confidence and excitement to tell Ravin. I drive home with a big basket full of her favorite candy.
I walk through the door at home and set the basket on the table. She walks over and sees it full of gummy worms.
"Gummy worms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait!!! What did you do?!" She turns and looks at me with a gummy work in her hand hanging there at me.
"Well I did what I always wanted to do."
"And what is that."
"I signed the papers. I'll be sent to basic after you pop."
"W-what?!"
"Yes baby. I'm sorry. You know that I was gonna do it."
"But I don't want you to go."
"I know. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you I promise."
"Ok. That'll be a lot of making up."
"I know."
We walked into the living room and started a movie.
After the movie I helped her to the bed and she laid down to go to sleep. I took my shower and got ready for bed and laid down next to her.
"Babe I can't wait."
"I know I can't either."
"I can't believe it."
"I know me either."
