Johnny Blaze was 18 years old before he became the Ghost Rider. He signed a contract to cure his fathers cancer because his dad was dying because he was smoking. So when the devil came to visit him in the work shop the devil made a deal with Johnny to cure his fathers cancer and Johnny accidentally pricked his finger on the top of the contract and the devil said "that'll be just fine" and he took the contract and Johnny woke up in his bed and was confused on what happened. Then when his dad told Johnny that he feels "healthy as a horse" and asked Johnny if he wanted to join him with the new stunt he wanted to try out and Johnny refused. His dad tried to do his stunt but the devil purposely messed up his bike and he fell in the flames and he died and Johnny rode off and then the devil appeared in his mind and Johnny fell of his motorcycle and then the devil appeared to tell Johnny that he can forget about friends, family, and love.
