Draco has been scowling at me for the past week now, ever since the scuffle we had whenever he saved us from the Death Eaters. Every time I tried to say something to him about it he would just glower at me again and make me stay quiet.
I mean, I guess I really can't blame him. If he wasn't there, we might've been in big trouble. But I've already apologized to him countless times; I don't know what it's going to take to get him to stop scowling at me.
Speaking of which, I was walking beside him, leaving Defense Against the Dark Arts. I looked up at him cautiously, seeing his eyes narrowed slightly. "Draco..." I murmur, seeing his eyes slowly slide over to me, making me shrink down.
"Please don't be angry with me." I say and he lets out a long sigh. "How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not angry?" he grumbles and I frown. "If you aren't angry, what are you?" I ask and he scowls at me. "That's not a pretty face." I tease, remembering how we both teased one another about scowling months ago, whenever we first met.
He tried to hide the smile that was threatening to come to his face and he turned away, shaking his head. "Don't do that." he warns and I smile. "Why not? Is it a crime to smile?" I tease, hoping that I could get this ball rolling and get us off this little blah faze we're in right now.
He gives me a pointed look and I smile at him. "Well, that's a first. You aren't scowling at me." I say and he breaks out a smile, making me throw my hands in the air victoriously. "Finally!!" I cheer and he chuckles, shaking his head. "You're going to get it." he says and I scoff. "I don't think so." I say nonchalantly and he looks at me with narrowed eyes.
"Is that a challenge?" he asks and I grin. "Even if it was, I would win." I say and he raises his eyebrows. "I accept." he says and before I can even move, he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, making me squeal from shock. "Draco! Put me down!" I gasp, hearing him laugh. "If I put you down, then that means I would win, right? Since you so nicely asked me." he says mockingly and I give him a glare that he can't see.
"No you don't win! This isn't even fair!" I whine and he laughs. I let out a groan, slumping down on his shoulder as we walked through the halls. People were giving me strange looks and I cringed slightly at it, but on the inside I was happy. At least now Draco was in a decent mood. It's something I haven't been able to accomplish for a week, so this is a big step forward for us.
Well, not for us...there is no 'us' really...just for him.
Just knowing that I thought of 'us' together made my cheeks turn red and I began to get really aware of Draco's arm around my waist as my body was like a rag doll on his shoulder. "D-Draco...can you please put me down?" I mutter, hearing him scoff.
"Why would I do that?" he muses and I huff. "Because, it's just...uncomfortable to be on your shoulder." I say, trying not to give away the fact that it was because of how he was holding me that I was bothered by this. "Oh? How about this then?" he asks, picking me back up and putting me in his arms, cradling me.
My face was beet red by now, I'm sure, which made this situation even worse. Curse my mind and thinking about mine and Draco's...relationship...thing.
"This is even worse!" I squeak, beginning to struggle in his arms and he smirks at me, obviously seeing my embarrassment and getting a kick out of it. "That's cute." he says and I freeze, my eyes widening as I stare up at him in disbelief.
"What?" I gasp and he laughs. "You're so embarrassed, it's adorable." he teases and I put my hands over my face, not wanting him to look at me.
"It is not!!" I exclaim and I hear his laugh echoing in my ears, which makes me turn red even more. "You're so mean." I whine and he scoffs. "As if." he remarks and I uncover my face, pouting at him. He smiles at me but looks away, shaking his head.
