"Destiny wake up! You're going to be late for school!" "Ughhhhh!" I groaned to answer my mom. I got up from under the silky soft sheets and stumbled my way to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror. Well don't I look absolutely beautiful this morning? My hair was sticking up to the ceiling and I had spittle on my face. My eyes had crust on the corners and I sighed, turning on the shower. I turned it on to scalding and waited for it to heat up. Once it was ready, I stepped into the blissfully hot water and moaned in pleasure. I lathered some of my orange blossom and lily scented shampoo and conditioner into my dark burgundy hair. I breathed in the heavenly smell and started to sing to When He Cheats by Carrie Underwood. It is one of my favorite songs ever and I love the spirit in it. Then I shaved and applied some cherry scented leave-on body wash and hesitantly stepped out into the cold air. I quickly dried off and chose my outfit for today. I took a quick look at my closet and chose a pair of really dark blue jean shorts with a black spaghetti strap tank under a white off-the-shoulder top that had orange lilies on it. I put on a coat of mascara and some cherry lip gloss. Then I grabbed my book bag and went downstairs.
"Hey honey, do you want some eggs?" my mom asked. She has golden blonde hair and chocolate eyes with a slender build. She was currently wearing a Kiss The Cook apron that I had given to her on Mother's Day. "That's ok I'm just gana grab an apple and head out." She raised her eyebrow as if to say "really that's all you're going to eat?" I nodded, grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and walked out the door. "Love you!" I shouted over my shoulder and heard her faint "I love you too!" School was only three blocks from my house so I usually walked. It also gave me a good chance to think about everything. My best friend Tessa is always involving me in her drama because I usually end up solving it. I am pretty much the peacemaker and I do a very good job too. Also, I seem to be the schools Cupid. All the insecure, single people come to me for help with their crush. And wouldn't you know, they always end up being with that person. I love what I do but sometimes it can be overwhelming so its nice to just think. I spotted the school and mentally groaned. School is just another name for hell. Sure you learn a few things once and a while, but when a teacher starts droning, all you want to do is take a nap on the nice wooden desk. I actually did a few times and received detention each time. JOY! (sense the sarcasm) I turned my head towards the entrance and saw my two best friends waving at me frantically to get my attention. Hmm they look like birds....I started to laugh and they just gave me confused looks. I waved it off, " Well, what's the big deal?" "OH MY GOD JUSTIN FREAKING KELLY JUST ASKED ME OUT!!!!!!" Tessa screamed in my ear. "Hey would you mind lowering the volume!? I kind of need these to hear you know!!!!" I said while hold in the left side of my head. She just rolled her eyes," He asked me out Destiny can you believe it!!!? He asked ME out! He wants to go out tomorrow night. He says its a secret place and nobody knows about it!" My other best friend Chelsea swooned," That is sooo romantic!!!" I was suspicious though. The schools biggest playboy/heartbreaker suddenly takes a huge interest in Tessa after almost two years of not knowing she even existed? I wanted to say something but I was afraid that she would take it the wrong way so I kept my mouth shut and just nodded and pretended to be excited for her. Just then the first bell rang and we headed to class. My first period is AP science. I sat down at my desk just as the teacher started his lesson. This is going to be a long day I thought.
