I was breathing heavily as I ran through the thick brush of the forest. Currently I was heading to lake Verity which was just through this forest. Less than 25 minutes earlier I was in a nearby town with my younger brother my best friend and her grandfather. Everything was peaceful untill we heard an explosion coming from the nearby lakefront. In a state of panic i went off to check the lake. Being as it was a place my mother often visited and I was worried she might have ben their during the blast. I convinced my brother Damian to stay behind along with my close friend Dawn and her grandfather. Eventually I escaped from the thick mass of trees and made it to the lake my face paled at what I saw. There was absolutely no water left in the lake, a few fish were flailing helplessly on the now dry lakefloor. Looking around I saw about a dozen or so men and women all dressed in the same dark uniform with cold emotionless eyes. I took a deep breath, carefully sneaking past the people. I saw what looked like a small cave in the center of the lakefloor with two people guarding the entrance. Curiosity had gotten the best of me I had to see what was inside that cave, the source of the blast could easily be inside it. Slowly I approached it trying to stay out of sight, however things didn't go exactly as I had planned. I tripped and fell flat on the ground,drawing the guard's attention. They imediantly ran towards me at almost inhuman speed. Each of them grabbed one of my arms forcing me back to my feet. The male gave me a cruel smirk "well well well what do we have here?" He said eyeing me curiously. "Whats a little human like yourself doing in a place like this?" The female glanced at me "hey boss" she yelled "look what we found".A sadistic smile crossed her face. My own face paled slightly when I noticed someone walking out of the cave and towards me. The female restraining me glanced in my direction "your in trouble now little girl" she mused with a smirk. I swallowed hard 'what the hell have I gotten myself into?'
