Chapter 3

"Just calm down Lizzy!" Violet said worried. "No, I will not until you tell me what is going on."

"You will kill us all at this rate!" Violet said trying to calm me down. I froze with fear.
She grabbed me, and the next thing I knew, I was back at Violet's house in bed.
I got up slowly. I had a deep pain in the left side of my neck.

I walked around with caution, I went into Violets room and she was not there. I went down the stairs, to find Violet talking to a tall, strong looking man.

Violet noticed me looking at them, and she flung her head around to look at me.
"Lizzy..." She said looking at me surprised.

I wanted to run, but something was holding me back.

"Who is this?" I said trying to sound confident.
"This is Henry," she said, with an almost disappointed look on her face. "I have to go out tonight, and he is going to watch you."

My heart sunk deep into my chest. The only one I trusted had betrayed me. Something just was not right. Violet went upstairs to get dressed, and I ran after her.

"You can't leave me with him."

I just remembered something. "What was that black mist?"

Violet turned around, and looked at me like I was not meant to know that.
"How do you remember that?!"
