"So you're that girl who hated Akamaru!" Kiba pointed at Kirai. "What's up Flea Boy?" Kirai smiled at him. Akamaru sniffed her hand and let out a quiet snarl. Kiba and Kirai laughed at him. Kirai smelled someone behind one of the trees. "Shh, don't look now but someone's over there," Kirai barely whispered. Kiba turned around and laughed. "Oh, Hinata, come on! I want you to meet someone!" A girl with long purple-ish hair poked her head out. "Kirai, this is my teammate, Hinata. Hinata, this is Kirai. I met her a really long time ago," Kirai smiled at Hinata and Hinata shyly smiled back.

Kiba and Kirai talked more about how things have been going, while Hinata looked down at her feet with her hands behind her back. "So, where's Naruto?" Kirai asked Kiba. Hinata looked up immediately, suddenly interested. "Probably out training with Kakashi and Captain Yamato," Kiba said, and Kirai headed out to find him.

Almost to the training grounds, an amazingly delicious scent intoxicated her. She felt herself begin to shake and spasm. She fell onto her knees and felt her eyes begin to burn. Opening them up, there was a Rinnegan ring and one Sharingan tomoe. She stood on all fours, taking in the scent. A black chakra began to form around her and she felt the comforting heat as she fell deeper into the trance. She crashed through the woods following the scent. She stared as Naruto ruthlessly trained himself, with no one around, surrounded by an orange glow. He turned around and bore his eyes into hers, which were red and full of hate. His teeth grinded together, almost as if he were growling.

Kirai dashed forward, crashing into him and making him fall, as she hungrily devoured his chakra. With each bite she could feel this evil power growing stronger, becoming even unbearable. Naruto took a firm grip of her shoulder and threw her off of him. She landed on her side about ten feet from him. Naruto faced her and got on all fours. Screaming with rage, an orange tail formed behind him. Kirai faced him, also on all fours. Growling and hissing, a tail appeared behind her also. Like animals, the two of them tore and clawed at each other. No matter how hard she tried, Kirai couldn't get just one more bite. Out of nowhere, wooden cages appeared out of the ground, caging both of them seperatly.

Naruto's orange chakra was suppressed as he calmed down. Without the scent of the chakra, Kirai's chakra was tamed also. Both of them sat at the middle of their cages, panting. Naruto looked over to the man who had cagd them both. "Captain Yamato," Naruto mumbled. Kirai put her head down, ashamed. A man with white hair who wore a mask appeared almost out of thin air next to Captain Yamato. They looked at each other and the white haired man nodded to Captain Yamato. The cages came down gently and went back under the earth, freeing Kirai and Naruto. Naruto walked nervously up to Kirai. "Oh man, I'm sorry Kirai, I don't really know what happened," Naruto started. "It's no big deal, my fault anyway," Kirai half smiled up at him.

Naruto started to walk towards the others. "Um, Naruto?" Kirai looked down. Naruto turned around and stared at her. "Can I speak to you about-" "We can handle that," the white haired man interrupted. "I'm Kakashi, and this is Yamato. Your sensei told us you would be coming." Kirai's eyes widened in surprise. How did Sensei know she would end up here? "Let's sit down and talk," Kakashi said.

Naruto and Kirai followed Kakashi into a clearing quite a ways off from the village. "Alright, let's start from the beginning."
