I woke up to the scorching-red sun melting my eye lids as I put on my clothes. As soon as I got dressed I pounced into my car, like a lion attacking its prey. The engine was a furious bull that charged the car down the road towards our destination. I was anticipating what waited ahead of me.

Finally! I arrived at the display where the colony if ants crowded around. The excitement flowed through my veins till my body was completely overpowered. My nose latched on to the smell of charcoal, that danced joyfully upon the wind. Everyone stood in silence (as did I) waiting for something to happen... Bang! Crackle! Fizz! The grenade of vibrant colors was launched into the night sky. At first nothing was to be seen, but then, as we looked carefully, we saw the giant, majestic rose fall down from the hands of god. Tonight was going to be fantastic.

What was going to happen next? I was bolted to the floor with excitement. "This atmosphere is outrageous!" Said my dad as he turned his head into my direction. A strucked match caught my eye, as the flame laughed in my stone-cold face. Something was about to announce its self.

My eardrum was gently punched by a noise skipping across the air. I looked towards the front of the crowd - squinting because of the bright lights - and saw the humongous-black demon barge its way through the innocent clouds. Bang! The tears of death soaked us all in fear, as a pattern of beautiful flowers lingered across the night sky. The smell of roses crept inside my moist, damp nose, as my eyes locked onto the next parade of fireworks. "Isn't this amazing!?" Said the man standing behind me. I was really looking forward to what had to come.

My heart was beating fast; the excitement had control of me. The beautiful-exotic sky smiled upon me as my eyes gazed up. As I was waiting for the next firework to reveal its true beauty, I went to talk to my friends: Thomas, Ruth and Brooke. The crowd seemed to tower over us. The fireworks were as hot as malted lava, slowly spitting on us all. I was disappointed with the display, nothing was happening...Bang! Snap! Sizzle! The cannon launched its first almighty missile. The small crystals dived into the palm of our hands as they all faded away within the wind. It went quiet. Not a single thing to be seen. The wind blowed as the misty lights glowed, the fireworks seemed to be dead.

We waited patiently for the next rocket to be fired. There still wasn't a thing to be seen...Crack! Snap! Pop!, the firework jumped into the sky; I jumped in shock. The fireworks reminded me of the day I was planting flowers in the garden with my granddad. The hairs on my tired arms stood up with amazement and shock.

I turned my head to the right to see what was there, I kept on saying "yes! yes! yes!" As I seen the gigantic, glorious, grenade of emotion being set up. My body froze up. This was the finale I've been dreaming of. The lighter spat out a demonic flame as the string on the firework caught fire. The whole crowd shouted "5...4...3...2...1" Bang! Bang! Bang! The grenade shattered into a million particles. The sight was stunning. I saw what I came to see and I was well impressed. The crowd started to retreat to their cars (as did I). It was a beautiful ending to a beautiful day.
