Iceman.

The cold lashed at his face,

yet he pressed on, keeping his pace.

"Come lay down for a while.."

"You must be tired after more than a mile.."

The snow grabbed his shoes,

begging for him to take a snooze..

He kept on, hugging himself tightly.

Ignoring the snow and treading lightly.

A day took place of the hours..

He prayed for hope among the evergreen towers.

But Alas, there was none, no road to be found.

Nothing but trees and snow blanketing the ground.

He'd take a moments rest, nothing more.

He slowly and painfully took off the shoes that he wore.

There were oozing blisters on the back of his heels,

and his feet were as black as rotten banana peels..

The snow embraced his head softly like cotten.

Soon all of his troubles and fears were forgotten.

"Stay with us forever.." the snow said.

Gently enclosing him in a fluffy bed..
