Rikki grabs the gun as he chases the person who killed Abbie. As the man stop running and Rikki pointed the gun at the killer just as he did the police and ambulance showed up at the crime.
Soon as they showed up they arrested Rikki at the crime thinking it was him who did the killing the family and friend tried to say he didn't do it but the police didn't listen.
