Arranged Marriage h.g

Chapter 1

ABBYS POV
My name is Abby Turner & I've recently turn 22 & my parents are very concerned that I will never find "the one" so they are setting me up to marry some guy that is the son of my fathers old college friend.
I'm meeting him tomorrow at noon & right now it's 10 o'clock at night.
"Honey, go to bed, you have a big day tomorrow!" my mom called from the kitchen.
I plugged in my phone & slowly fell asleep.

MOMS POV
"Are you sure we are doing the right thing?" I asked my husband, Jon.
"Dear, trust me. They will work out & be very happy together." He reassured me.
Jon's roommate from college has a son named Hayes & he too is worried that he is struggling to find "the one".

ABBYS POV
Once I woke up I looked at the clock & saw it was 10 so I decided to to get up & take a shower.
I wasn't overly excited about the thought of my parents decided who I would be marrying but I'm also a little excited to see who it is. They haven't told me anything about him yet only that he is 23.
After my shower, I got dressed in ripped skinny jeans & a black tank top with an Aztec designed sweater.
I straightened my hair & did some light makeup.
This time of year is my favorite, fall.
I checked the clock & it was 11:15. We had to leave in about 15 minutes to drive to his house so I went down stairs & made a bagel with cream cheese for a snack.

HAYES POV
Today is the day I am meeting my future wife that my parents are making me marry. I'm not going to lie I'm very interested to meet her & I will in about 30 minutes.
I had just gotten out of the shower & put on a pair of khaki shorts & a button up flannel. I sat on the couch & checked Twitter while waiting.
My parents are finishing getting & Nash took Sky to get some ice cream real quick they should be back soon.

*knock knock*
My mom ran to the door before I even had a chance to stand up. When she opened the door I saw a husband, wife & I couldn't see the person standing behind them.
My dad walked in & hugged the husband who I learned names was Jon & the wifes name was Rhonda.
As soon as I saw their daughter who's name is learned in Abby, my jawed just dropped.
She was absolutely gorgeous & very sexy.
We shook hands & sat down on the couch next to each other while our parents say across from us.
As a group we all chatted for a while, Nash & Sky arrived & introduced themselves. After about 20 more minutes of talking, I invited Abby upstairs so we could get to know each other without our parents awkwardly watching us.
"So tell me about yourself." I told her as we sat down on my bed.
"Umm well, I'm 22 & I graduated from the University of Tennessee. I love animals & writing. I'm also very into surfing." She replied, "your turn."
I smiled & said,"I'm 23 & I graduated from the University of Florida. I love motor cross & very much enjoy making people laugh."

ABBYS POV
"So how do you feel about this whole arranged marriage thing?" I asked him.
"Well I'm nervous just excited & now very happy bc you seem like an amazing person & are absolutely beautiful." He replied.
I blushed & looked down at the floor, no one has ever completed me like that before.
Hayes tilted my head up & we looked into each other's eyes. It was very romantic. I could definitely see myself developing feeling for Hayes.
"Now that we've met, I am very excited about this marriage." Hayes informed me.
He engulfed me in a hug & we just continued talking to get to know each other better. It was a very good day.
At about 5 o'clock our parents called us downstairs bc dinner was ready.
Both our families sat down at the table & dug in & the food was delicious.
"Just so you both know, you will be moving into an apartment together next week. We have already picked it out & paid for it. So for the next week you will be furniture shopping." Elizabeth informed us.
Hayes & I looked at each other & smiled. I was very excited, I love shopping.
After we finished eating, we helped clean up & my family said our goodbyes & headed home.
Hayes & I arranged to meet tomorrow at 1 & eat lunch before we go check out the apartment.
