Class time passes by slowly, as I notice that I'm already more than half way through my playlist of songs. Currently I'm listening to "Avalanche" by Bring Me The Horizon on replay, probably one of the more depressing songs that I could be playing right now. I pay close attention to the lyrics, easing my mind as I read through the assigned pages of my science textbook. I peer over to my friends to see them doing the same, sharing earphones as they study together. I wish that I could figure out what I did, or that they could at least talk to me about it instead of shutting me out. I try to focus on the homework but my mind keeps drifting off into the dimmed place that holds my thoughts. Slamming my textbook closed I inhale deeply and gather myself. I stand up from my seat and walk out of class, heading to my locker for the second time this morning. The teacher doesn't seem to care that I've left, so I won't be called to the office to report back to class.

Short StoryMy attempt at a second story, mostly to keep myself occupied and because I love writing. This one's quite different, and it will probably be much shorter.
