~Hopes pov~
Trying to run away when your "father" is awake, is a terrible idea. I got one hell of a beating from that, still a little sore. So I made a plan. I'm gonna make everyone dinner and slip a sleeping pill in their food.
What could go wrong? Well, beside the fact that they catch me and punish me, but that is just over thinking things. So that's my plan, I hope it works.
While making dinner, I started to think... why do they hate me? They adopted me. I knew as I was adopted, but they don't know that.

I was watching them eat. It sounds creepy but they don't let me eat unless everyone dose first. So I sat there, waiting. Then, I heard the first yawn.
"I'm tired" 'father' said.
"Me too" I said, I had to play along. Soon they were finished eating and started watching TV. I sat and started eating my food, waiting.
The real reason I want to run away is to find my real parents. I have a file with my information. I called someone pretending to be my adoptive parents.

When they finally go to sleep. I snuck down stairs , grabbed my file and book bag full of clothes, and ran. I don't know how far I ran but, I now see a highway. Guess who's hitch hiking!
