"Wake up, buddy.", I hear from my room, where I lay unmoving and only half awake. I squint my eyes as my father turns my light on and the cool breeze of the ceiling fan hits my face. Well, there's no use in pretending that I'm still asleep now. I thought to myself, slowly sitting up. I look at my watch to see what time it is. 4:50 a.m., as always. " I'm up, I'm up." I say quietly. My father walks out of my room, going back to his to sleep some more. Why the heck am I so cold? I thought. I look down and realize that my covers are on the floor. Oh...that explains it.
I slide off of my bed and stand up in one swift motion. I wipe the crust from my eyes and walk towards my door, trying not to step on anything. I make a sharp right after leaving the room and enter the restroom. I close and lock the door behind me so no one could walk in while I wasn't behind the curtain of the shower. I look at myself in the mirror. Man, it looks like a cow licked the heck out of my head. I thought.
I take a towel out of the closet and hang it next to the shower. I remove all of my clothes and toss them sloppily towards a corner. I open the curtain and step inside the tub. I turn the water temperature up to a warm, relaxing heat and tilt my head back. Letting the soothing water run down my face and body. Mmmmmm. I think. I grab the bottle of shampoo/ conditioner and slather it through my long, dark brown hair. Not typical for a guy but I don't really care. I stand motionless under the shower head letting time pass me by. I start humming a tune under my breath and sway my body left and right to the noise. I sigh as I look at my watch. Five minutes had gone by without my knowledge. Oh crap! I almost say out loud as I hurriedly rubbed body wash onto my body.
I step out from behind the curtain, grabbing the towel on my way . I dry myself off and wrap the towel around my waist. I unlock the door and rush into my room. At the same time throwing the, now wet, towel onto the floor. I open the closet door, grab some random assortment of clothes and sit on my bed. I grab my iPod from the shelf attached to it and turn it on. Why the heck were you two texting at 2:00 a.m. last night? I think to myself as I see the notifications on the home screen. This is why I turn this thing on silent at night. Group chats...there's always someone up at night trying to talk to someone else. I slip a pair of socks on and get up from where I sat. I walk through the hallway, passing my brother's room where my father was trying to get that "Bear" of a child to wake up. I open the pantry and grab a Pop Tart. I shove them into my mouth as I look through my book bag to see if I still have everything. Oh shoot! I say mentally, running to my desk. I pick up my history textbook and take it to my pack. The history teacher would KILL me if I left this here! I swallow a glass of milk and put the cup into the sink.
5:50 a.m., still time to relax before I walk to the bus stop. I look up at the TV. Some weird cartoon is playing that I do not recognize. What the heck did they do to television? I get a text message. I look at the iPod and realize that it's just an email from some company that I didn't know of.
"Well, better get walking" I say to myself. It would be a shame if I missed the bus. I grab my book bag, lunch, and iPod as I walk out the front door. I stick my earbuds into my ears and put the device on shuffle. Sure is dark. I think. Man, I love October.

I step up into the bus and walk towards the middle. I sit in seat #11 and drop my book bag beside me. I lay my head back on the seat. Lets get this day over with.
