Time skip, basically at the start of season 1 of teen wolf. Also picture is of Derek.
It was the first day of school tomorrow for Stiles and Scott.(they're both 17, btw)
Stiles had been listening in on his dads radio, turns out that most of the sheriff department was out tonight in the preserve trying to find a dead body.
Stiles decided that he was going to go looking as well, not without Scott of course.
Stiles had just gone over to Scott's house and was trying to jump in through his window when he saw it was locked.
He then accidentally slipped and slid down the roof.
Inside Scott had heard a noise out side so he had grabbed his bat and walked out side just in time to see Stiles slide down off the roof.
Time skip to the next day...
Last night when Stiles had convinced Scott to go looking with him Stiles had been caught by his dad but Scott hadn't and had gotten bitten then went home for the rest of the night. Once they got to school Scott told Stiles about getting bitten.
Stiles knew that Scott was turning into a werewolf, he could smell it.
Scott and Stiles had agreed to go back to the woods/preserve to find Scott's inhaler, after school.
Once they had gotten out of Stiles baby blue jeep, the started to walk to the place Scott said he thought he'd lost it.
"Are you sure this is where you lost it Stiles asked to the crouching Scott looking through the leaves on the ground.
"I swear this is whe-" Scott started but got interrupted by someone else saying,
"Hey! What are you doing? This is private property"
Stiles turned around to the familiar voice that he hadn't heard in 5-6 years.
When he turned around he looked eyes with the one and only, Derek Hale.
As soon as Derek looked into Stiles' whiskey coloured eyes he knew that it was Stiles.
Stiles and Derek immediately broke eye contact when Scott interrupted by standing up and talking.
"Oh, um. Sorry, we were just, um looking for something, but um, it doesn't matter anymore" Scott said nervously.
Derek then took Scott's inhaler out of his black leather jacket's pocket and threw it to him.
"Here" he said and gave stiles one last glance before quickly turning around and leaving.
"Dude, do you know who that was!?!" Stiles exclaimed.
"No, who?" Scott shrugged as they started walking back to the jeep.
"That was Derek Hale, his family died in a fire six years ago" Stiles explained.
After Stiles dropped Scott home, he decided that he was going to go talk to Derek, wherever he was.
Stiles got in his jeep and started driving back to the preserve. He then went back to the black and burnt down house that he hasn't been to since the day Derek kicked him out.
Stiles slammed the jeep door closed and proceeded up the steps of the house and to the door.
He knew that Derek was in there, he could hear his heart beat. Stiles opened the door and walked in, shutting it behind him.
"Derek?" he called out. Silence came afterwards. "Derek, I know your hear I can hear you" he said while walking around in the black house.
He turned around and in front of him Derek stood, he had an unreadable expression on his face.
"Hey" stiles sighed.
"Hey, stiles look abo-" Derek started but was cut off.
"I missed you" Stiles said as he ran to Derek, wrapping his arms around his middle and burying his head into the crock of his neck, taking a big whiff of his scent.
