A/N: Enjoy!
Madieline
My cell phone vibrates me awake. I reach for it, hold the bright screen to my squinting face, and set it for thirty minutes.
I-don't-know-how-many minutes later, I open my eyes to see the bright, hot, summer sun outside my window. I should get up. I should want to get up. My eyes close.
"Madieline!" My mother's yelling voice woke me out of my short slumber, abruptly.
I open my tired eyes to see my mother standing in the doorway of my black and white themed room. I looked at her, signaling for her to continue.
"Did you finish your homework?" I glance at the clock resting on my bedside table. 8:37am. God, why did she insist on asking me at this hour on the weekend.
"Yes, Mother, I did." I gave her an annoyed look as if telling her to please exit my room and let me go back to my sleepy haze. She was oblivious to the looks I was sending her and continued to ask more unwanted questions.
"Are you sure that everything is correct?" She never stops, does she? That question was a completely unnecessary, she knows that I triple check all my questions on the homework.
"Yes, I checked, as always." I mumbled the last part under my breath.
By now, my mom noticed the stares I was giving her and the left the room without another word. Thanks to her, I can't go back to sleep now.
I continue to lay in bed, even though I'm not the slightest bit tired, but its Saturday so I don't have to get up and do anything productive today.
After about an hour of lounging in bed and blankly staring at the ceiling, I get up to take a shower and change into clean clothes.
As I was in the process of applying my last coat of mascara to my eyelashes, my best friend, Brooklyn, had texted me asking if I could hang out later today. Of course I had to ask my parents first, they were never the kind of parents to let their kids go anywhere they want without asking, but I don't mind, I know that they only do it for my protection and I appreciate it because some parents won't do that for their own children.
I looked in the mirror, studying my appearance on last time and go downstairs, only to be greeted with the obnoxious yelling of my two younger sisters. I watched in delight as Veronica and Jasmine run around the living room, enjoying the adrenaline pumping in their veins as they play an intense game of tag.
My mother placed a plate of eggs and toast in front of the seat I was currently sitting on. I take a bite of the toast, savoring the warmth it brings as it slides down my throat. (A/N: That sounds weird, but I really do enjoy the warmth the toast brings)
Since everyone, including myself, was finished with their plates, I gathered the dishes and proceeded to clean them because if I don't, I know my mother would have a fit. I love my mother, I really do, but sometimes she could be.... a pain. I was always a Daddy's girl, I have a pretty strong bond with him, but he's always working overtime, so I have less time to spend with him, but we always make it work, somehow.
As I dried and put away the last of the plates, I looked at my mother ready to ask for he approval on what I was about to ask her.
"Hey, Mom, I was wondering if I can, maybe, hang out with Brooklyn today?"
"Are you 100% positive you finished all your work?" There she goes again!
"Yes, I promise"
"Okay, just this once, but you have to make sure you don't go anywhere alone without a parent, keep you phone with you at all times, and call me if anything happens." I know it sounds weird when she says not to go anywhere without a parent, but she just scared of something happening to me, and quit frankly, so am I.
"I know, I will, I love you." I call out to her as I exit my front door, ready to walk to Brooklyn's house.
"I love you too, have fun and be safe!" I hear her yell as I was closed to door.
A/N: I hoped you guys enjoyed. This is not edited, so sorry for the mistakes. Give your feedback or comments in the comment section, I'll try to update tomorrow if I have no homework. Sorry for short chapter, I will try to make the next one longer. The whole ides of this tory is that I'm going to show the different points of views within the chapters. I hope it works out, lol. The next chapters will be kinda filler chapters, but don't worry the action will begin soon. *wink, wink* Don't forget to vote!
