Author's Note (A/N) : So I realized that I kinda abandoned the story and left it as a piece of crap, sorry about that by the way, and as my big sis was updating her story and such I decided I would too. ^.^ yay! so here it is chapter number 5!
=3
P.S: Hopefully I think this is where things start to get good and be a kinda fun chapter before things get serious. (but remember I am still very much an amateur and this is my way of practicing to get better so don't hate if it sucks. XD)

Chapter 5~ Explanations and Ice-Cream
***
As I was helping Lyla up I heard everyone else on their way down to the center of the arena where we were.
“Simple dear. I am a witch.”
Crossing my arms with a smug smile I said, “Yeah, well. I knew there was something off about you. I admit though, I seriously didn’t expect a witch” It had made sense though, I thought to myself stifling a shudder as I remembered her half-brother’s attack on the park 7 years ago.
Returning my smile, Lyla said, “Well extra points for your detective work kid and welcome to the guild!” “I do believe a celebration is in order. Anyone else?” Matt said cheerily with arms out stretched as the group came over.

Getting out the car and stretching my cramped muscles I take a quick look at my surroundings. “Woah. That took a while. Oh hey isn’t that the ice-cream shop from the day you guys adopted me over there?” I ask looking around at how the then small town grew to become large enough to almost be classified as a large bustling city. Even the old ice-cream shop had been remodeled, renovated, and expanded.
“Jup. May and I thought, ‘What better place to celebrate than there?’ so, here we are!” April said as she walked around the car to walk on the sidewalk with us. “What are you guys awaiting for?” “Yeah, you coming?” Ethan and Allie called from further ahead. “Hey April, I’ll race you guys to the ice-cream shop.” I challenged
“Oh you are so on!”
“Count me in too!”
Soon everyone except for Kelin, Ethan and Allie was ready to race. We had Lyla be the referee in order to make sure that no one cheated. We were lined up about eleven meters away from the ice-cream shop door.
“Alright! Everyone ready? Remember, loser buys everyone ice-cream-“
“Oh Lyla, don’t forget, loser also has to be the winner’s slave for a week!” I interrupt confident in my abilities. With a chuckle Lyla nodded. “On your mark, get set go!” And we were off.
I started off in the lead May and Jack followed by April lagging behind but Matt was nowhere to be found. “Pardon me, excuse me, coming through!” I say as I rush past people going about their daily business who would, every now and then, cast a disapproving glance my way.
Jeez, it’s like these people have never raced before or anything. Speaking of which, I wonder what rank I’m in.
By now I was only about five meters away, “Target in sight.” I say to myself smugly.
“I wouldn’t be so smug if I were you little Reena!”
“What the? Darn it Matt, distract me later I’m trying to win this race!”
