This was their day. The day where everything would turn for Levi, where everything would be at its best. He wouldn't have to sleep alone, worrying about his suicidal partner. He would know that he's safe, and that Eren was still alive and breathing. And most importantly, happy.

It was perfect. There's no such thing as perfect.

But it's here, right in front of him as he watches his love walk down the isle. It makes him most happy, hell, it makes his stoic expression want to break out into a lovely smile. A smile only Eren Yeager can cause. And that's why Levi adored it so much, he treasured the moments where they made each other smile and laugh. Just plain happy.

It was the most joyous moment as Eren stepped towards him, finally reaching him and standing in front of him with a wide smile on his face. His beautiful white dress dragged out behind him, the white veil shielding his precious face that Ackerman cherished so much.

Eren's bright, golden eyes scanned Levi, grinning. "You look amazing," he breathed out, impressed by Levi's handsome formal attire. Levi smiled in return and took hold of Eren's hands tightly. "You look amazing as well." He pecks Eren's cheek, and a chorus of 'aww's were heard'. Levi couldn't help but roll his eyes.

Eren giggled, blushing a slight bit as the priest walked over with the book in his old hands. He smiled at both of them and began talking. "Levi Ackerman and Eren Jaeger..." He began, grinning. The guests smiled widely in elation, Mikasa gripping Armin's hand tightly. They were both proud of Eren.

Erwin and Hanji were smiling like the parents of Levi, who were very excited and proud of him. Everyone was just....happy. However, happy isn't how you describe a world filled with monsters that were mammoth compared to humans, that devoured them without mercy. Blood everywhere, battles everyday. It wasn't easy, no. Not one bit. So how can you say they were happy?

Levi's smile said it. That's how.

After a long stream of words from the priest, both the men were content to hear "you may now kiss the bride". Levi dipped Eren with his strong arms, kissing him passionately as Eren's face turned red. Everyone cheered, throwing up their hands in excitement.

Eren was brought back up, looking into Levi's grey, cold eyes. "I love you so damn much," he whispered, pecking his lips with tears in his eyes. "I love you more," Levi whispered in return, feeling tears start to uncontrollably form in his eyes. He was so happy. So joyful, elated, content, blissful. He was finally with his love.

Levi's tears were tears of sadness, though. The sky was dark, and the moon was out high in the sky. He sat up in his bed, sobs shaking him awake more than he already was. How? Why...

December 24th, the year 855. Eren Yeager was announced dead by suicide. He had successfully reached the basement in Shiganshina, though all his comrades were dead. Those included Mikasa and Armin, even Mike. Levi was the only one left with him, though Eren didn't know that. He thought he had lost him.

Eren held up the blade to his chest, tears pouring down like a waterfall on his bloody face. "I...I-I...I failed...how could I ever have been so stupid..?" He croaked, sobs only getting more violent. Levi ran, trying to locate him by his cries. "EREN!" He shouted, worried grey eyes scanning the fog.

Eren sniffed hard, tears rushing down so much they soaked his shirt. Happiness? It's just an illusion. "The l-least I can do..." He readied the blade, the steel touching his chest by now. "Is kill the last one." He sobbed painfully, sticking by his vow to kill every last Titan. He pushed the blade right through his chest, a final tear dropping.

Levi's complete being shattered when he found the body. Yet again, he was alone.

In the present, Levi looked at the ring Eren made for him as a sign of commitment, a week before his death.

"I love you so damn much," he remembered Eren's words when he gave him the ring.

"I love you more," Levi whispered to the cold metal.
