Deep Sleep Part 1

I'm on the train when it happens. At first, I don't notice that anything's wrong. After all, it's a  late-night train and there's bound to be someone who's nodded off. Anyway, I'm reading the news on my phone and that's where my attention's concentrated.

My phone runs out of battery and I look up. Something's wrong with the lights. The train is now bathed in a red glow. I look around to see if anyone else has noticed, but I don't think anybody has. All the other passengers in the train carriage are asleep.

This isn't too bad, until I realise that the train has passed my station. I walk up to the front carriage, and knock on the driver's door. No answer. I carefully open it, hoping that I won't put the driver off her driving, but I needn't have bothered. The driver is asleep too, her hair sprayed out across the control panel. The train is still going, though, and it's about to reach the end of the line. I seem to be the only one awake.

It's clear that I'll have to stop the train, but how? I've no idea how to drive a train, or where the handbrake is.
